In my opinion you still notice the transitions with the legato (f.e. that sudden changes of dynamic). Thats what intrigued me with 8Dios Insolidous (and maybe Silka). It sounds much more realistic in that way. Unfortunately though its pretty limited regarding the selection of Syllables. The staccato of Dominus sounds great though.

Not exactly, but almost. You have to do a lot of substituting and settling for something close to what you want but not quite.

well I have the original dominus choir. I dont't need the staccs and marcatos, I have these covered by other libraries. so besides this addition, do you think the upgrade is worth it? is the lyrical legato somehow improved? I must andmit, I don't hear a difference...thanks for your thoughts, greetings from wolf

If you want the polylegato with words to get that custom movement then it's worth considering, but if you're not set on getting such a particular sound then it's best to just stick with what you've got.

At this price, individual SATB sections would be nice, or at least divisi to thin out the voices so you don't double up the entire men or women choir when playing two notes in the midrange of the respective choirs.

You pick a vowel or consonant, then it opens up options for what vowels and consonants come after that. You can almost create proper sentences by clicking and combining, but you can't type in custom words.

Thanks, but I do not have the money... Did you ever used 8Dio Requiem (for a few hours 88 $), is it usable? ( I mean, is it easy to make a choir mockup )

It's okay. The legato is a bit stiff, but it's definitely useable.

I didn’t got the Requiem Light yet. But today with 8Dio for $79 (with email coupon) seems to be good bargain. Or not! Wait for Promo on Light from Soundiron that is more updated.?Thank you. @@alexandrebaroni1057 80 bucks isn't too bad for a library that can handle forte staccatos and marcatos well. Might as well get it for extra coverage, or you can send Soundiron an email and ask if they have any plans for a sale on Light soon.

Only if you need or want that level of realism and you're willing to learn how to use the features.

when i loaded this library, there was a "no snapshots loaded" below Dominus Choir. Do you know how to fix it ?

It's not a player library no snapshots don't automatically load. You have to click on the wrench icon at the top left of the instrument patch, then click on the "instrument options" tab, then click on the "snapshot" section, select "show" and it will ask you to create a folder for snapshots. Create a folder wherever you like. If the library has snapshots, go into your Dominus folder and find the snapshots section, then copy all of the snapshots and paste them into the snapshots folder you created earlier.

great review cory,a bit too pricy for my taste,i would rather buy symphonic choirs,less expensive and more actual word and sentence building,in stead of the usual latin giberish but hey,thats my opinnion,i have realivox blue from realitone,and she can sing almost everything,sadely,its just on to 4 voices,not a choir,cheers
