Libre Intense VS Le Parfum. Comparison. Thoughts. Libre line review.

I haven't smelled the intense, but I Love the Le Parfum! I'll densely be buying it again when I finish what I have. The Sl original edp, I think that's like a morning version and le parfum is the sexy evening. It's the saffron, ginger and honey notes in it the really appeal to my nose!

I have both of these now, and I love both of them. I am a little extra, so I am glad I have both, but I think a lot of people wil find these redundant. Thought they are a little different they will fill the same space for a lot of people...the richer, darker more vanillic version of the original. I agree that I wish they did something to differentiate the bottles, once the juice ages it will be very difficult to tell them apart. A different colour collar or cap would have been enough. My aging eyes have a hard time reading the little sticker on the bottom.

I have the both but to me the intense is better in performance, sillage and projection. I have the feeling that the intense lingers more.. is like 8hours easy and the Le Parfum does not project so much and stay like 5hours. That's why I get today back up from intense.. I don't know there where you are , but from here intense is being discontinued, very difficult to find

You are absolutely right about nationalities! There are some smells I’ve only experienced on certain people. This is a good review. I agree with your review. The opening of the new reminds me of Olympea and L’intridit Rouge

Yeah the opening was like a mash up of a few different ones, that's the same vibe I got from Prada Paradoxe (a mash-up). But it does settle to a nice scent!

Yes! Woody vanillas remind me of older Mexican men. Lol. So I can't wear a lot of those.

Liked it before even watching because it's YSL libre lol! My favorite perfume of all time!! I love them all but intense is bae! I only have a tad bit in the same size. I saved it until I ordered another and last week macys had that sale so I purchased the 3oz bottle! Le parfum is beautiful and has less lavendar!

Great description, I love the intense version. I didn’t care for the le parfum version because I didn’t like the added spice (saffron) I liked the intense better, the vanilla is so good in that one

I can't wear anything lavender on me, love how expensive it smells - but at the same time it's very perfumy.

I'll be honest, the lavender is challenging in these fragrances. I don't always like them. It's only during the colder weather that it smells more blended in. During those days I pick up on the vanilla a lot more. Somehow the floral notes take a back seat🤷‍♀️

I forget the note sometimes when I'm filming, it's all good! Sometimes it goos to not know the notes, because you get a raw reaction to the notes

Hey Carmen 😊 I totally agree on nationalities and fragrances completely get what you mean it’s the reason I can’t tolerate La vie est Belle and strong men cologne 😏 ok as for libre I think I’m the only human on earth that doesn’t like any of them it’s the lavender even mon Guerlain is hanging by a thread on my shelf 🤣🤣🤣 My skin ruins everything 😭 but I love your take on both and the conversation ✨☺️

Yeah I like Libre only on occasion but the Intense is pretty good for the winter! The Le Parfum takes a different direction in my opinion. What? I can't believe you dont like La Vie Est Belle? Does that scent have a negative memory for you?

Libre was first time ever launched in 2019, so not that long ago!

I accidentally order both of these in the full bottle. I was slightly annoyed at first but they actually smell different on me and tbh I think I grab the darker one more often. Both kinda give off a more mature scent though.

Hi Carmen! So glad you reviewed these. I am so wanting a libre and don’t know which one I would love! I would probably stick to middle ground & choose your favorite. I do like orange blossom but if it too much I just can’t! Is the orange blossom as strong as in like Girl of Now?

Libre Intense does have it as strong as Girl of Now. Very floral to me. I wear it in cooler weather and night time and it smells better blended. In the day time and warmer weather the orange blossom really stands out. I prefer it when it smells blended in. The Le Parfum has it but not as strong. The Le Parfum is less floral-y and more honey, slightly spicy, tonka vanilla. More gourmand.

I got the chance to try Le Parfum today at Ulta. The opening was heavy honey to me then disappeared very quickly. Within a short time (15ish minutes) it smelled exactly like Intense. Maybe it was a little “heavier”. Personally, I was disappointed and would stick to the EDP and Intense versions since those don’t smell the same or similar to me at all. I do agree that the line, especially the Intense and Le Parfum smell like something from the past. It reminds me of the richness of Poison, Poeme and that generation of 80s and 90s perfumes with their thickness. I’m going to try to put my finger on what exactly they remind me of. 🤔 Also, did you happen to smell Burberry Her Elixir? Did you do a video already? I’m so out of the loop. I just got power back. 🙃🙌💕

Which one are you buying? The Libre Intense is strong and long lasting! So I don't think you need too much! Other than that, it depends how many sprays and how often you wear it!

For hot weather maybe the regular one. But I personally like the intense more because of the orange blossom and vanilla in it. I prefer Prada Paradoxe to Libre Edp because it's similar but sweeter and less lavender. Paradoxe also lasts all day!

They are very similar but the orange blossom is toned down one the Le Parfum. Le parfum is a tad bit sweeter as well. Hope that helps.
