Sir I'm using model for yolov8 to detect registration plate and then using paddleocr detect label. Do You think to train own model with two classes detection registration plate on pic and label gives better performance and quality of detection ?

Yes. You can try easyOcr too

@@tech_watt I've checked easyocr and found some new paddleocr from China OCR. I can tell You in real environment is making more less mistakes then easyocr.

Are you reading the license plate or just detecting the rectangle of the licence plate, can you print the text of the license plate in the python code?
