🐊 Did you know that the Kampar River is also inhabited by crocodiles? 🐊 The rescue boats spotted at the beginning of the video escort the surfers for that reason!

It doesn't seem like the smartest decision to stand on the beach as the tidal bore unleashes it's energy! The incoming waters invariably travel faster than people are able to run, and the preceeding debris field can be hazardous to life. All in all, they're best viewed from afar or from high up, preferably both!

The wave's name is Bono. It's located in the Meranti Bay area in Riau, Sumatra. It's an old story from the past. The 6-headed wave was a stealth that protected the Dutch from invaders.

Not sure if your comment is making sense to us. Do you mean that this exact same wave, or this type of wave is a regularly occurring phenomenon in that exact same place? If so, then exactly hw often does it occur? And if it is a regular occurance, then why say that this particular incidence was " from a long time ago"? If it was something that happens regularly, then surely there would be multiple documentations of it on film? If you have further information, please feel free to clarify.

@@sissyrayself7508 Let me share my experiences when I was in Indonesia in 2010, 2015 & 2018. Believe it or not, you will know the real Indonesia from my typing. INDONESIA, who is that? what's that? At first I didn't know anything about Indonesia, in the end when I was in a big library in Europe. I am interested in the book that says "INDONESISCH". The book was written by one of the researchers, scientists, historians and experts from various countries in Europe. In the book, he wrote a list of very large natural disasters that occurred in Indonesia and even other countries affected by the impact took many lives. It was a very terrible incident, at first I did not believe in the book. But now I really believe. (Tambora eruption, Krakatoa Eruption, Toba Eruption, Samalas Eruption, Aceh Tsunami 2004 and others). This is no joke. In Indonesia, there are many natural tourist attractions that are unreasonable and unique, in one city alone there are many natural tourist attractions. What about the whole of Indonesia? When I visited 42 natural attractions in Indonesia, I immediately recalled what the book had written. I was immediately amazed and could not speak, because the natural attractions in Indonesia are different and make Indonesia an International GeoPark recognized by UNESCO. Talking about nature tourism, Indonesia is not in doubt. Because it has a unique and different level. I was truly amazed by the dark history of natural disasters in Indonesia. There are lots of natural attractions there in every city. The number of natural disasters in Indonesia from 2016 to 2020 was 17,032 events. That's a 5 year calculation, What if the total is from 1945? Could be more. In fact, the most earthquakes in the world are not Japan or Chile, but Indonesia. Not only that, hurricanes, tsunamis, landslides, floods, storms, typhoons, earthquakes eruptions and others. "The more beautiful you look, the more dangerous you are". This sentence represents Queen Mother Nature in Indonesia who often rages but is actually very loving because we can see the uniqueness of many tourist attractions in Indonesia.

You can see by the growth in wave height that it moved into shallow water. It’s the same principal with a tsunami. You see a tsunami’s out in open ocean and they don’t look big at all but once it moves into the shallows all that water gets pushed up and suddenly you have this huge wave heading toward the beach. And love the guy in the tree lol
