What he says at 13:25 - 15:00 is worth Gold. As a pianist who admires him greatly, it is indeed his way of thinking - and choice of notes -, and not his technique, that has inspired me to evolve.

No one does it better than Frank. His guitar school is the best music education you will EVER find. Great interview, thank you for it.

He’s the mad scientist of modern guitar improvisation. He is so creative in the way he employs sweep picking. Respect 🫡

Incredible interview man. Frank has a warmth to him that makes you want to hug the absolute crap out of him. The man bleeds passion and knowledge. Thank you for this.

Thanks for such an incredible interview. To me, there are two gods of guitar, one is Allan Holdsworth and the other of course is Frank Gambale. Again, big Thank You!!

Exactly what I say since I've heard of them, and ironically that was on their Mark Varney project collaboration !
@ArgathosSnake2 жыл бұрын
@@SIVA6619 That's right! They both complement each other since Gamble's vertical approach and Holdsworth's horizontally versed melodies

My favorite guitarrist musician and the greatest inspiration. Been studying him for over a decade. One of the 4 innovators of the instrument along with EVH, Allan Holdsworth, and Jimi Hendrix.

Am I the only who feels that the Host of the channel had not thought out the questions he wanted to ask, and how they should be formulated. Not to mention that asking twice in ten seconds "Which note(s) would you choose?", not waiting for the guest to answer shows impatience and/or, simply the incapacity to wait and listen... I might add that supposedly trained musicians should easily hear an E7 #9 chord....When you have in front of you such an 'encyclopedia' such as Frank Gambale, you better be prepared...
