Thank you for your video When I make licorice tea from powder the powder stay in the bottom but some stay in the water so is it ok if I drink it with powder or I should put filter for the powder and through it !

I just read that it raises cortisol levels. Taken together with grapefruit juice, this effect is even stronger. This could perhaps be helpful as a replacement of medical cortisone where this has to many side effects.(?? , but I am a absolute lay man)

@@eijonasson Herbs are interesting in a chemical way. Sometimes it's just folklore but sometimes they do work "softer but with fewer side-effects" as is said,. Still,I don't see how you can integrate this in modern practice. To start with you never know how much of the active molecule is present since this fluctuates wildly. And overdosing can be fatal, like digitalis or yes, even licorice too. The herb you buy can contain heavy metals, fungi or herbicides. Perhaps some people are allergic.. Thanks to google, it's now possible to look up all these molecules in plants, admire their complex beauty , often with many rings. After that, it gets very slippery. I understand well how selling herbs is even forbidden in many countries.

I believe it breaks cortisol down so maybe raising levels it so can later be reduced. I use this powder because for a while it felt like food particles were getting stuck in my throat maybe from eggshells or smoking. It does give me a little bit of anxiety but after awhile I feel like I can meditate.

Calcium supplements?... I'd like to try this licorice root but my bones are already getting kind of brittle... wondering if anyone thinks taking some type of calcium supplements, would be good or bad while using this
