I LOVE Mark along with the other members of The Behavior Panel! I am super impressed with the fact that this clip is 12 years old, and if Mark’s hair wasn’t shorter than I am used to seeing it, I wouldn’t have noticed the years! Goodness, Mark hasn’t aged a day in the past 12 years.

My friend Mitch gave palm free handshakes because his two older brothers were bullies that always squeezed his hand till it hurt. Now I understand why that was such a problem.

@AchillesEightyThree Most of the time it's safe to say it's a dominance thing...sometimes you just have people who think too much about the handshake and they unknowingly squeeze too hard. There are lots of factors that come in to play, and just like this video says, try to read the person based on more than one factor. Cheers

Within the first 60 seconds you can tell that Bowden has complete control over how they see him, it's rather impressive

I totally agree. Just want to mention that interesting scene at 3:56, where he laughs for nearly 3 seconds, twists his feet and (I think) also breaks eye contact after being told it feels like flirting to the moderator. :-D

Mark is correct. My opinion of these two hosts was made 50% before they said a word - just by looking at them and their mannerisms. 43% when they spoke. And the last 7% doesn't really matter.

One of my favorite lines from the show Lie To Me was *HOW* Cal Lightman sarcastically said to his daughter “Love yooooouuuu”, when they’d just had an argument and she was a bit upset. He truly did love her, yet he said it sarcastically, to irritate her in a humorous way, as if they’d just had a loving conversation.

A doctor I once worked with had a handshake that felt like a limp fish, in my opinion. I really didn't like shaking his hand. He gave me the heebie-jeebies! I am a person who prefers a firm full handshake with eye to eye contact.

I wish they’d talked about men shaking women’s hands in business situations. Too many use it as a way to touch and not get in trouble. Hate it when they just won’t let go.

Hi Mark Nice vid. Not sure I agree with your interpretation of why people look over your shoulder when they communicate (5.00 onwards) have you heard of Meta Programmes, specifically "Attention Direction Filter" that would indicate this is a persons preferred way of communicating - 'scattered' - on you /off you - as they process information during comms transactions. Keep up the good work, like your channel.
