Thanks for your questions, Eddie J. Parsons. This depends on the drilling tool: the soil is either excavated or displaced. How long it takes to learn to operate this kind of queipment is a bit difficult to answer - usually it takes between 6-12 months (courses, practice etc.).

2:05 the one bad thing about dis/assembleing is that you need a crane for that. Why they didnt made it so he can dis/assemble itself with its crane? That would be really helpful and efficient

I like the position of the drill rig apparatus for transport, a lot of drill rigs are very high and require a pole car. I hauled a lot of Liebherr out of Newport News, Virginia to Atlanta. Never hauled a Liebherr drill rig but have hauled AF-350's out of Italy. The shop manager at Newport News is a class act. The service truck has this painted on the back of their truck, "Why would you want a Cat when you can have a bear!"

at a guess, the rig needs to be anchored to apply that because that should be enough to just start spinning the rig instead of the drill head

Bei der hier gezeigten Baustelle (Liebherr weiß welche ich meine) hatten wir mit den über 60 Meter langen Pfählen da zeitweilig auch Probleme. For the time being the usual tremie concrete mix designs unfortunately can't meet the requirements emerging from the achievable drilling depths of this rig size. During the job shown in the clip (Liebherr knows which site I mean) we sometimes also faced problems with shaft depths exceeding 60 m (200').

Why do they represent decimal weight as 5,8 ? Here, that would mean you have '5 and 8'. Decimals are normally expressed as 5.8 for example, where (.) is the decimal point dividing the whole number (5) and the fraction of 10, in this case 8/10.
