LBX 600 - carrier machine for slurry wall construction | Liebherr

Our latest innovation for slurry wall technology is the LBX 600.
With the new carrier machine for slurry wall construction Liebherr is responding to the special challenges faced on urban jobsites. The LBX 600 can be equipped with either a mechanical or a hydraulic grab and the modular boom system offers maximum flexibility with three different machine configurations. The standard version has a total height of 17.8 m. For applications with restricted height, e.g. under bridges, the Low Head with 11 m or Ultra Low Head with 5.8 m are available.
The LBX 600 is available in both conventional and battery-powered versions, the LBX 600 unplugged. Both models have identical performance data. One exceptional feature of the unplugged version is zero emission.

I wasn't planning on getting a LBX 600 but was in the market for a new fridge, and the Liebherr fridge I wanted had a deal on combining a purchase of the fridge and a LBX 600, which I couldn't pass up. The LBX 600 has been super helpful for tasks around the house and yard that I've been putting off.

Why does the grab need to rotate 180 degrees? @1:46 Surely it didnt need to rotate at all, as it would have stayed inline with the machine.

@@loganaurora it makes no difference if it rotates 180. I can understand if it wanted to rotate 90 to fill a truck end on, but 180 makes no difference

Because the double bucket has a different number of teeth on both sides. Therefore the bucket rotates 180° so that the shaft is excavated evenly after each grab cycle.

Now my building company no longer has an argument for withholding my new wine cellar from me. I can live quite well in Berlin with 80 metres, so it should be possible to keep the wine at 11° C permanently.

Looks expensive, how much for one of each? I love how clean they remain even after digging into dirt. That's awesome technology, have you patented it? You have no idea how much time that would save me, and my neighbors would stop complaining about my dirty old machines, if I had self cleaning, look just like new ones instead. Anyway, keep up the great work.
