Liehberr LR 1600-2

I recently took down my Liehberr LR 1600-2 crane model to add the YCC etched walkway kit, I highly recommend this kit. It is pricy but adds so much to the look of the model and also added the YCC hook blocks. I took a bunch of Pictures and put this slide show together.

that looks insane. i have a 1600/2 on order. can i ask u a couple of questions? did you make the crane mats. if so did you use 1/4"×1/4" strips? and also i looked everywhere for the walkways in yellow with no luck. did you paint it yourself?

Hey, I did make the mats and I used 3/16x1/4 Balsa wood. I know proper scale is 1/4x1/4 but I like the looks of the 3/16 thickness especially when they are doubled up. Balsa is super easy to work with, cuts easily with a hobby knife and sands down good and the stain soaks in nice. I bought my walkways from evot USA but they may be sold out now. Best bet is to contact the man himself Mr.Chou through www.azcrane.com find the contact and send an email with what you need and how much to ship to your location and he will reply fairly quick with a price in usd funds. I've ordered from him a few times now and I live in Canada and believe it or not it's cheaper shipping for me to order from Taiwan the states! Always sent PayPal to him as a friend no issues and highly recommend ordering from that site 👍

+kwbushtrucker awsome. those mats inspired me. im gonna head out tonite and pick up some balsa, the walkways look soooo nice in yellow. ive only seen them unfinished. man i gota save some money. thank u so much❗
