What’s awesome about the Dutch is they will be in the same subdivision in qualifying as the US so hopefully NBC or whoever shows a lot of their routines for us because they are all beautiful on floor

I appreciate your optimism very much :) but in my cynical gremlin heart, part of me is sure NBC will find a way to show even less gymnastics than they already do. (I get that NBC is there to make money first and foremost, not cover gymnastics, so of course they're going to focus on the US and Biles. I get that. but like......... it's still annoying lol)

The artistry was absolutely stunning. I wish we could see more of this throughout women’s floor!

What the Dutch do so well is tapping into the emotion of the music. They have such beautiful lines and expressive artistic gymnastics. Does anyone know how much they train in ballet? I'm reminded of the graceful GAGE gymnasts who clearly train the artistic component of gymnastics.

yikes, her endurance--hope she is ok. besides that, this was brilliant. so beautiful. out-dutched herself, tbh.

That is very unprofessional to lie down on the platform after a routine. Her coach also dogged on her after her routine and then walked across the floor routine platform. It looked more like a practice session than a meet/competition. The gymnast was very good but really looked tired during her routine.

I agree - I also think it was pretty unprofessional to lay down on the podium and also the way her coach gestured at her after she finished throwing his arms up in what seemed to be disappointment was also very unprofessional. Love the music though and she had some very nice moments throughout the routine.

@@HanniBunBun123 I’m not hating, just pointing out her tumbling is very basic,

She just needs to lean back in her back handsprings more and then she will be able to get so much more power in her tumbling

Why did her coach seem so straight-up angry with her?? Yeah, she fell and fumbled at the very end of her routine but it happens; berating your athlete isn't going to change it or make them better, she knew just as well as he did what happened... Hopefully just a one-off loss of temper in his disappointment but damn, be a little more professional dude

Truly beautiful dance elements compared to American gymnasts. I can't help it....I'm still a ballerina at heart! USA gymnasts' dance elements make me throw up in my mouth sometimes.
