I'm in Pennsylvania with family, and enjoying my time here so much. My granddaughter Alexis graduated from high school this year, and she had decided to join the Marines🇱🇷 She's not sure when she leaves. We do know it will be in the next week. We also know she is going to Paris Island, N.C. This painting is so beautiful. My daughter, and granddaughter also paint. Tomorrow, we decided to get together, and try our best to tackle this lovely painting. They are both watching this with me, and they agree you're an outstanding teacher/artist. ❤❤❤Why do you leave the background white? It certainly would be more attractive with a tinge of turquoise 🤔

Thanks for the question, I leave it white for a few reasons, one, with a composition like this I’d probably need to use masking fluid to cover the flower petals which I just don’t feel like doing sometimes, adding a background also adds to the painting time (which I was trying to keep a little shorter this time), and I also wanted to just feature the flowers without the distraction of the background color, however, you are absolutely welcome to add color to your background if you’d like! 🥰 You are the artist for your work and can do whatever you feel like trying. 😊 Take care!
