What a bright, joyful autumnal floral scene! Puts a smile on my face! For beginners to seasoned painters, it's great for practice, warming up, relaxing etc. No painting is a wasted painting if you love to watercolor! It can even be a challenge to get creative! 😊 I so look forward to Trailblazing Thursdays. 💕 That's what you are; a trailblazer! You blaze a trail for others to follow! 🥰 I painted using your new brushes….. guess I should say mine. I absolutely love them. They feel so perfect in my hand and the spring is perfect! I did your practice strokes for them and the sample flowers I did three of them. So much fun! I forgot how much joy watercolor brings into my life! Thanks for inspiring us to paint each week! I so appreciate the time and effort that goes into all that you do for us!

How did you study your hand painting over these stems you had sketched out in the very beginning? I could not be so accurate. Do you go back and erase?

You absolutely can go back in and erase any wayward or left over lines! Although I didn’t need to erase lines in this particular piece, I have done that with other paintings. 🥰 (I’ve had LOTS of practice, so I have developed a fairly steady hand over the years. 😉)

Wonderful autumn colours, Liesl. It looks like a nice relaxing one to paint. I always tape my paper to a board slightly larger than the paper itself so that I can turn it or tilt it to allow wet colour to run. 🥰

Oh no! I’m so sorry Debbie!! I apologize for all the trouble. I didn’t actually make an outline for this piece. The technique and idea is one that I think you might be able to try without an outline though. It may look a little different than mine, but that’s absolutely ok! Your own unique style will shine through. 🥰❤️
