Just going to throw this here for anyone who may experience issues with the speakers. I just got mine and love the look and the sound is great, but they do have some serious driver issues. My speakers were bricked after 15 mins of idle time. PC reset, nothing. No sounds, no lights, nothing as far as I could tell until I noticed the PC was still recognizing the speakers, just not allowing for them to do anything. Only noticed this after like 20 mins of freaking out thinking they may have been broken. :D Anyway, FIX time. So honestly nothing I did would get them to kick back on. Nothing. uninstalling drivers, software, nothing would get it to kick. I finally tried plugging them into another PC just to see what happened and install lights and sound. They work still!. Plug back into the original PC almost instantly after trying on the other PC and after another bit of idleness.....happened again. (BTW........if you do need to resort to the 2nd pc plug in method DO NOT plug them into that other PC for more than a minute or two. That PC is your lifeline! (Read more below to understand). Anyway, this issue is caused by the JBL quantum DUO software app and drivers. I'm not sure which it is, but the easiest way to bypass anything of this nature is simple DO NOT plug it in with USB. EVER! :D Perhaps only once after you have bricked it and on another PC. :9 Use your audio cable into your audio out green jack on the back of your PC and you will never have to worry about any of the software issues. Old skool I know, but at least you speakers will be functional. Now sad to say, I'm honestly not sure I would have been able to unbrick mine without access to another PC. Non of the factory reset methods worked beyond plugging it into another computer. :9 Hopefully this will save someone any stress if they discover this post. JBL really needs to get that worked out. Great speakers if you don't use the USB. Not everyone experience this issue, but after digging through posts to try and figure out how to fix mine, it seems to be a fairly common issue. Great unbox review btw! They are awesome speakers. I will be loving them for a long time after today. (Today I will remain slightly bitter with them, but love will return tomorrow.) :)

yup had exactly the same issue, been onto JBL asking about updating/fixing drivers but no reply...If i'd have known this issue b4 buying I would not have bought them but who would expect it with JBL products?

@@thunderstorm2721 this fix actually stopped working for me. Lol. Eventually I got it to install as usb speakers without any of JBL's drivers at all. Now they work perfectly. U need go Uninstall all the JBL garbage and then update the driver manually to standard USB windows speakers.

@@thunderstorm2721 if you are on windows. Go to settings > apps: and make sure there isn't any JBL software in there. It likes to auto install. Next open up ""computer management" > device manager >Sound,video,game controllers > JBL Quantum DUO. Click properties and Uninstall the driver. I believe the driver you want to install is wdma_usb.inf. Honestly I can't remember what I did as I tried so many things for hours. But eventually I found the option to install a driver that wasn't JBL. I think what I mentioned about should let u do that, I just would need to do it again to verify and.... don't want to do that now that it is finally working properly! Lol. I'll try and help more if that doesn't work for ya though. Let me know. :)

I have this speakers and found a big issue that after 10 minutes the speakers turn off suddenly ... even if I am using bluetooth. I am trying to talk with JBL/Harman support team but no solution so far. Do you have the same issue please let me know. With this issue the speakers are unuseful unfortunately. Seems to be a BIOS issue, not a hardware issue. They need to update the BIOS to solve the issue...

thank you for the video. I already noticed the difference as soon as I changed from the JBL Charge2 which I use on my PC. I think the speaker with the sound knob is the RIGHT speaker & the other is the LEFT speaker as indicated at the bottom of each speaker. Again thank yo for this video.

Got these today, they're pretty good. The only thing I am a bit disappointed with are the light effects. They're audio syncing, but not that precise. I wonder if there is any software related to them where I can tweak the frequency it detects for audio syncing?

Im a bit sad that there is no discussing the biggest problem with the speakers in this video and one of the reasons a lot of people might not want to buy them. They are indeed good speakers but they have an odd problem in their software that makes them disconnect constantly and turn themselfs off or not connect to your pc properly ( if connected properly u can adjust the overal sound of the entire pc with the rolling switch at the front of the speaker but if it didnt connect correctly the speaker volume and computer volume wont be synced this can be controlled by turning the switch and checking if the volume level of the pc isnt adjusting) this can be solved but can be quite a puzzle to find out how to do it. so if you dont want too much of a hassle with your pc or if you arent too tech savvy please think twice before ordering these boxes for pc. i myself own them and still occassionally deal with this issue.

They can’t from what I’ve seen! However switching from pc to console is literally a matter of unplugging 1 USB cable and putting that directly into the console. It’s super easy! (Assuming your console is kept next to your pc)

@Kevin - It is possible to plug your quantum duo speakers to your monitor through the 3,5 aux jack plug. Provided that your monitor has this connection. On my setup, my series s is connected to monitor via HDMI and sound via the 3,5 from the monitor to the JBL speakers. So you can easily add a pc to the monitor via HDMI and have your sound sorted already.

@@marining2841 Really good to be honest, and they can go really roud and there is a good bass + you can set them on Suround sound so ^_^ i can make a short video on it if you want any music you want.

Nice review but location of the speakers should be vice versa. I also bought these speakers but I'm suffering this automatic shutdown every now and then and I haven't found the solution yet to disable this power saving feature.

I checked the official site before writing. There are no drivers for Windows 11 and plenty of people complaining about problems all over the internet. They can work, if the planets align properly, but they can also break with any Windows update, because JBL doesn't care... They actually told people that Windows 11 support is not in sight.

@@claudiuarseniu2511 Hey, I use them and I run Windows 11 Pro. I tried everything to resolve the issue of them shutting off. So far as long as I don't turn them off manually and just having them turn off by themselves when I shut down my PC they work as they should. And if they do, which has become rare, I simply reboot my PC and they seem to go weeks without shutting on and off. Still pretty annoying that JBL won't resolve this issue.
