Spanish Steel and Armor won. The Portuguese helped the Samurai up-grade their armor to fight the Spanish. The philipines was Spanish for 400 years....

The 2006 Miami Vice Movie was a wash out. It was nothing even close to the original theme. The producer thought it would rise above the TV Show. He was wrong. I saw the movie with Fox and Ferrel. There, character was not even a close diagnosis. So much missed in the plot and the laid back cool. To much modernism, in which the real Miami Vice of Dade County Sheriff's Office says it was not even a close dialogue.

I think the Castillo theme you hear around :42 - 1:29 is different than the version you'd get from the Jan Hammer Miami Vice album. What is played here in this trailer is different than the album version. It sounds like this was taken straight from an episode, not Hammer's CD.

Oh what could have been . . . Makes me really sad because they allowed way too much time to go by and there's no way they could ever do this show again. I remember seeing a number of people in *Burn Notice* who regularly appeared on *Vice* as thugs, bodyguards and the like, and they're all way past their time now. They could have made a really great *Vice* movie but instead they screwed it all up :>\

Apparently Olmos was the only one they asked to be in the 2006 movie; Olmos as Castillo and Fox and Ferrel as new vicers. Since Olmos said no, they decided to just have Fox and Ferrel play Crockett and Tubbs. A shame, wouldve made more sense that way.
