Uhh, people can be the same thing all the time as he is, it's called being yourself. Peter has his ups and downs but if you are consistently a goofy people person or consistently winning, or consistently nice to fans and other riders for over 10+ years in the spotlight yeah, that is just who he is. You can see him get mad, like when that motorcycle hit him in the Vuelta, and then you can see him being a goof like when he high fived the Bahrain rider in Stage 9 of the Tour. You can see how he acted after Roubaix (shaking hands with Dillier, bowing to the crowd), or how he handled his loss in Flanders this year (frustrated, yet humble even after Boonen called him out). This is pro cycling, I mean it's not really the sport for faking your personality. If you can consistently spend 5 hours a day on a bike and always be this way that is how you are. No one is going to wipe themselves out completely and have enough strength to keep up an act or never break character. I mean look at how Armstrong was, he was always an asshole and did that money making and being famous thing just fine. If it was a gimmick for Sagan then well, he should be acting because he is the best actor ever by your logic.

To a degree, but that is a very very naive way of putting things. My guess is you just don't like Sagan, which is fine to say, don't try and make a pointless argument to justify it. It's okay to not like him, don't try and make up a reason for it.
