A question for all and you. As your senior year come and your eligibility for college soccer comes to a end. How many of your teammates end up going pro or continuing to play ⚽️ after college.

@sebfox21945 ай бұрын
@@winger9229 You don't need an opinion on the proportion of D1 players that end up going pro. There's an actual factual number, and according to a report by the NCAA, it's 1.9%.

While I find you guys very annoying, especially with the unneeded grunts during drills and the pink boots, I do understand your plight. I played for St. John's in the early 90s but back then MLS wasn't even a thing, so basically you took your degree and were thankful you likely had no college debt and you started to make your way in the world with a REAL job. I know lots of players from D1 schools that wouldn't accept reality and kept playing in crappy "semi pro" leagues hoping that one day something big might happen. It did, but for like FIVE PLAYERS I know out of hundreds. You two guys are no different. Just find a nice Sunday league, get a good job making $100K+ and be happy you don't have college loans. Sorry to shit on the parade but I'd rather be honest than feed you crap. Wow, go play in the USL and never make any money...suddenly you're mid late 20s with no real life work experience. That's the worst case scenerio Avoid it.
@kenw728710 ай бұрын
I agree with you that a lot of former D1 college soccer players have no chance at MLS and would be stuck in USL making peanuts. I don’t think that anyone from Monmouth University is going to make 100k straight out of college (maybe they studied computer science but software development is oversaturated). Its not the end of the world for these guys try going pro for a year or two. They won’t know if they’re good enough unless they give a try/go.
