Life and Death on Bronze Age Dartmoor illustrated talk

Dartmoor National Park archaeologist Andy Crabb leads an illustrated talk looking at what life was like for our ancestors on Dartmoor around 3,500 years based on the excavations of the incredible White Horse Hill burial and the Bellever hut circle.

The microphones used in this talk were excavated from a round barrow dating to around 2000bc, where they'd been unceremoniously buried after the Beaker Folk moved into the region, bringing with them more up-to-date audio equipment.

Fantastic analysis. I am full of admiration for the work in learning so much from what looks like a pile of poo. It makes one wonder how much damage must have been done during the Victorian era’s many digs when they had less understanding and less tools available.
