Don't show off anywhere in Rio except for closed condos, even in public areas of Ipanema and Barra. The latter has experienced growth in robbery as of late. Rio is a city to be low profile

Muito verdade!!! Sobre a comida! Sobre essa high vibration! E o movimento que não acaba. E olha q vc nao estava perto da Lapa, que bem inseguro, mas muito intenso!!! Tem mais, Cazuza (escritor e cantor), cantou sobre o por do sol no Arpoador, então existe uma ligaçao cultural e emotional ligado a essa paisagem.

Did you say you spent 1,700 "DOLLARS"? Bro, you can check the local newspapers and get a 3 bedroom house for like 350 bucks a month. Granted you would have to sign a lease for a year. (It appears that you will be jumping from city to city during your stay).

Yea unfortunately I was there for 6 weeks so Airbnbs were very expensive

I love this so much! would you say you had a favorite city in Brazil? I'm planning my stay and I'll probably do 2 cities.. I was looking at rio, Sao paulo and florianapolis, do you have any recommendations?

My favorites were Rio and Fortaleza. This town near Fortaleza named Jeri is amazing. If you are more into nature, Floripa is great but need a car. São Paulo wouldn’t be my choice unless you want a cosmopolitan city with good restaurants and nightlife
