I have lived in Singapore for 12 years. Went from living in hostels to running my own business. I understand and appreciate the grind. Many locals assume I work for a company which pays for everything, but everything I own (house, car etc) are all 100% my own doing without any help. No credit cards, loans etc. Feel like I have to work 10x harder than locals, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

In 2014 I moved from Australia to Singapore for work for a fresh start. I married there and we moved to the Philippines for another job and now love in Kuala Lumpur. Sometimes if things aren't going well with friends work etc move on and start again it was the best thing for me.

If i knew then what i know now, I'd of left the country when i was young but not for the normal, older & wiser bit. My father made powerful enemy's and unbeknownst to younger me, they were set on making my life not easy or imprisoning me if possible. Fortunately my mother(may she rest in peace) raised me to be a good person and I avoided the many pitfalls laid before me. Could/would life of been different/better if i had left, who knows. Blessed & thankful to have what i have now 😁

I visited Japan back in May this year. I'm very happy to hear that Japanese banks and business put their own first. Japan is such an amazing experience with lovely people but if a load of foreigners start loading in it will ruin the Japanese society. I love Japan and I'd love to live there but I wouldn't as I wouldn't want to be the foreigner that sticks out. And as the old Japanese saying goes in Tokyo Drift. "The nail that sticks out, gets hammered".
