Ah, man. Down here in Florida Manatees are pretty common in zoos.The last zoo I went to had a little manatee hospital complete with separate tanks for the Manatees to get away from viewing, or closer to doctors. They also had a nice room where the healthiest of the Manatees are kept, and everyone can view them. Lots of parents would bring their toddlers and every kid who saw them would gasp and sprint up to the glass and look at the manatees like they were some mythical creature.
