I’m in university right now to be an early/middle years teacher in Canada and whenever school gets tough and I feel like I just wanna give up I watch your videos and instantly get reminded of why I wanted to be a teacher in the first place and feel excited about it again. I’ve been watching your videos for so long and I really do appreciate all the work you do for your students and also all of your videos. I’m not sure if anyone else noticed this or if you notified this Brittany, but you said “the shooting” instead of “the tragedy.” That shows how you have grown. It can be hard to say what has actually occurred during the initial healing process. This gives me some encouragement!When something happened to me I never address as “oh when _ happened” I always say “oh when the incident happened.” Thank you for sharing g you story. How did you know you wanted to be a teacher? I'm thinking of changing careers and don't know if I'm making the right decision
@Heyitsmaria243 жыл бұрын
I recommend watching YT videos about what teachers do! The bad and the good! You also have to keep in mind sometimes the income won’t be great (it depends though). I recommend watching a few teachers talking about it and how they get through paying bills. Some teachers have side jobs. You also have to take into consideration the stress and workload. Watching a video of a day in a teacher’s life helps give you an idea. Definitely watch tips or teachers expressing their love for education! Again, you have to look at the bad side too. Watching teachers quitting videos help because they keep it 100%. If you know you can deal with common issues + you have the passion, then the teaching path would be for you! :D You can also get experience. Like I know my catholic school allows volunteers to teach. Lastly, you have to take into consideration that student teaching (maybe different for everyone) is what it sounds like. You teach all school day (your experience) while going to school. Most don’t pay you. You pay for the class actually. A lot of lesson planning as well. Mental health matters a ton in this field! Keep in mind this is a rewarding job :) some of your students will remember you & it’s exciting to see them graduate or grow up. You inspire them . It gives you a purpose. Hope this helped xx
