One key thing to remember , a startup in vlsi requires way higher funding than any other s/w startup. Based on my experience , new folks should never join an underfunded startup in vlsi domain or be prepared for layoff any moment.

Hi there! I can say ratio of South to North is around 1:1. People from all around the country come to study so there is no bias at all. I don't know the current ratio as students were functioning online, but it might be almost similar. Teachers don't speak in south Indian languages they just speak English in the classes. Hi Uday! Yes, all campuses have centralised placements. Actually, a small sector of companies keep the restriction that only VIT Vellore campus or Chennai or both are only allowed to apply. Hey there! Of course it's a decently good idea, but when you build your profile for a specific role, your profile becomes streamlined. It's good if you are interested in pursuing that role, but if it's not, I suggest you to focus on basics of VLSI basics and stuff so that you can attend any roles, back end and front end in the VLSI industry, just suggesting you to increase chances of getting a job. Hey there! That's an interesting question! Not exactly. The screen time would depend on the stage on the project. Initial stages of the project would not require high screen time, just a couple of hours a day, but at the end of the project you would need to put in heavy hours a day, maybe more than 8-10hrs a day. Its better to join Btech in ece and choose vlsi domain to form a good foundation on basics like RTL,AEC,LCD after that for front end you can choose maven,vsli guru CDAC etc for longevity

This is my tentative prediction, things might change as per situation on the day of counseling. Placements especially for CS are very good. I am btech 2022 ece passed out, I have offers from cts, Infosys, atos but none of them gave me onboarding they told that we will be on boarded in Q1 of 2023 .I had great passion to enter vlsi, I got offer in a startup in vlsi through referral but the conditions are 10k stipend during training, 4years bond with a bond amount of ctc*2 I am feeling this amount is really huge,they are also telling no projects till June 2023 .should I join this startup or wait for onboarding in remaining offers and try for masters in vlsi Please suggest me
