sometimes! though it's much more expensive for us, because we have to cross an entire ocean, and (I don't know about Canadians, but) US Americans are generally underpaid, overworked, with little-to-no vacation days. So we are kind of in the minority, but you will find some of us North Americans at these international LARPs.
