If anyone has ever listened to isolated vocals of this song, it is just downright haunting, with the emotion and pain Stevie sings and conveys. Outside of his In Step hits, this song is signature SRV. RIP to the Blues Master, and incredible lesson JMcL.

I once read an interview with Jimmy Vaughan in Guitar Player or Guitar World that Stevie recorded several takes with different guitars, six strings, twelve strings and even dobro, because he couldn't decide which take he preferred the more.
