Hi Bolaji and Team, I don't write a lot on KZbin but because I went through this phase the whole of 2023 into the first quarter of 2024; I am so emotional writing this. Thankfully, my husband is alive and well today. But this movie just reminded me to be grateful. It was a terrible and hard time being the first hand carer no matter how bad it got, even when he could not do anything for himself. The most difficult part was having to be strong, I could not show any form of weakness cos that would break him more. Nothing mattered, not even sex. Thank you for shedding light on this, sickness is not an easy thing to deal with. We must learn to appreciate life and our loved ones when we have them.

I came here because of Kanaga Jnr, and no regret at all. The storyline, the cast, everyone delivered perfectly. This speaks to the importance of partners communicating with each other through and through not leaving any details out cause it helps gives clarity and makes the relationship better! And I pray for all cancer patients and caregivers to heal from the pain and trauma it comes with! 😢🙏

These are some moral lessons I took from watching the movie; 1. As humans we need to live (free ourselves and not take things to heart) 2. Don't take decisions by yourself since you're in the institution called marriage, you need to agree and disagree with your partner (if seven's wife did not take contraceptives before s*x, he would have been a dad and would have been happy before dying 😢) 3. We need to take care of ourselves (health is wealth) ❤❤❤ Peace 🕊️🙏

Blame it on Adam and Eve. In the beginning, man was not supposed to die. Man was supposed to live on forever in the garden of eden but Eve was deceived and then deceived Adam as well and Adam in turn blamed God and they were both driven out of paradise and hence every man must now face death. Thanks to Adam and Eve....

Great movie, I watched this movie and I cried so hard, my father is presently under going chemo therapy for lung and pancreatic cancer, It hasn’t been an easy journey but God miraculously intervened and my dad is doing great now, I watched my dad coughed out his lungs, was placed on oxygen, chest tube, because both his lungs collapsed, he needed help with walking, eating, bathing, men.,..we practically had to do everything for him. My dad was gone. But God, you see this God, I don’t play with him. I’m nothing without him. Faith brought my dad back, faith! I pray for anyone going through any kind of terminal disease that God will heal you in Jesus name. My advice, never lose faith, never! My dad is left with three treatments and his back on his feet. He will be 74 in 10/19/2024. Great movie, B

In relationships/marriages both parties need to communicate with each other and stop hiding things from each other that they will one day come to regret. Itam did this twice to her husband. Seven aced his character masterfully. I felt his pain and even sensed he’d died before his wife did, tears were rolling down my face. He’d looked so peaceful. I lost my beloved mother on March 20, 2024 and haven't been the same since discovering she was sick! "”This movie hits so close to home!"" I felt everything the character was feeling, I felt lost, alone and hopeless! When the doctor tried to bring me to the reality of what was happening I'd get frustrated; and say that they weren't God!...I was very angry! My mom was my everything and just figured we'd have more time but God had other plans! I miss her terribly and what's worse her birthday is coming up! The Title alone "Life Can Do Whatever He Wants" has Steez just like the storyteller and producer of this piece Bolaji Ogunmola and it's the truest t. ever told life can and will do whatever the blank its wants to. You can't box or bargain with life. Often times what will be will be. You can be riding high and sitting on top of the world one day or stretched out under it the next. Either way life is too short not to make the most of it. This is a reminder for me to redouble my efforts, energy, and mental focus into truly meaning that I will not dwell on and beat myself up about fixed situations I simply can not change but I will strive to be kind but nobodies door mat and extend as much grace to myself and those around me as possible being a firm believer in whatsoever we do will be counted in the end. "LCDWHW" is yet another fine piece added to a tremendous body of work for Ms. O'. Thank you I always learn & walk away with something to think abt. Respect❤

This movie brought back the reality I faced three years ago not as a wife but as a child at the forefront. I was the one who was there to see my father's last breath."Never put off what can be done today for tomorrow is not a promise to anyone" We should never delay doing something if we can do it immediately. The husband could have been happily enjoying his child much earlier and not at the end of his life waiting in hope. 😥

The most painful thing about taking care of someone who is sick and deteriorating is that you want to break down and cry but you can't do it infront of them because you don't want them to know how bad it looks. So you cry in private and put on a brave face when infront of them. Even when you are losing hope you have to make it look like all hope is not lost. It is super draining 😢

Palliative/ end of life care......always a place of reflection....the surge in energy/patient communicating coherently/cohesively again, able to eat and drink again...is usually when the time is near...counting days...families is usually pre_informed of all the stages.... Glad to be part of this care team..... Wonderful movie... I wish more specialised Palliative/end of life is in place in africa. All the need is comfort and love at the dying time...pain free as much as possible🎉

Indeed! Sadly, for some, their religious stance tends to be the obstacle. They would not talk about end-of-life because they erroneously think that it would be an admission of lack of faith on their part.
@peaceodoh64157 ай бұрын
@laurettamoseley2298 yes any many usually end up with so much pains, aspirations as they are made to eat and drink because family and religious team don't have a clue about what there care needs. Hopefully awareness will be made concerning end of life and palliative care in our society. Everything is not spiritual as we always assume. Since the world has turn to social media, movie directors and song writers ca be a most way to create the awareness. If people don't have money in africa, they usually don't get the necessary care the need.

@@bronnahlubinda6880I'm glad you had a first hand experience with a dying loved one. From my experience anyone should be allowed to be involved. When I think about my late father most times😢 I wish it was now he was diagnosed of prostate cancer which quickly metastase over his lumbar. Having urethral blockage all the time, most painful was always crying out in so much pains. His cognition was still intact😅🎉,our God is very merciful😊🎉. I was just in uni studying nursing and lived far away. I couldn't do much and didn't know much then about cares. I always stayed with him, read books for him right from when I was little he always liked me doing that..his way of making me read😂😊😅,I shower him,mum always ready and available to make his requested meal which I fed him,cleaned his catheter and gave him his medications. Papa always told me I have magic hands because whenever he was he so much pains all I could to of was to touch his tummy like massaging it,he always told me it gave him some relief but to me it was not for a long time. I mean he got all the love from his wife and we his children. His private Dr and nurses where always available. People around also cared about him...but I still feel I would have done more for him😢 if it was now..... I know a lot know about how to manage pains and agitation for end of life/Palliative cares. I give my residents now 5 star care🎉🎉. Likely to major in geriatric/end of life/Palliative care nursing soon. Is all about the love and care making them comfortable till the end😊🎉.

@bolajiogunmola thank you for this wonderful piece. My dad was diagnosed with lungs cancer and cardiomyopathy on 5th of April unfortunately he passed on the 7th of April just two days after. Within that 2 days I took him to 5 different hospitals for scans because I refused to believe the results. This movie too me through the process that I went through. He died in my arms and I almost ran mad. Everyday I can’t stop crying because I was unfortunately the only one around. I can’t even explain to the rest of the family what happened. It hurts everyday and I hope time truely heals me
