Sarah Morrell has a rare genetic condition called Morquio type IV (mucopolysaccharidosis ) This means she is missing an enzyme that removes the toxins that build up in bones and joints Sarah’s life has changed due to a weekly infusion of an enzyme replacement drug called Vimizim. She now has more mobility, less pain and has been able to take on a job. Sarah works at Wanganui Hospital as a disability support coordinator for vaccination clinics

my hubby had 2 people in his family with Morquio syndrome. His brother and his cousin, who both unfortunately passed away to the disease, his brother was 20 and his cousin 18. They both ended up in a wheel chair and it progressed over time. I love Sarah's optimism and I pray she loves a long and full life ❤ such an inspiration.

I have a special needs child. It's the hardest thing because you want to take all of their pain and struggles away. They're the bravest children. God bless this brave young lady.

I love how fast you drive down the ramp from the front door. Thank you for sharing your story. I’m an infusion nurse in Oregon. I have not heard of your condition before. Again thank you.

What a lovely young woman! …with wonderful family and friends! I wonder if she’s ever considered opening an Etsy shop with her stickers? I purchase stickers, regularly, for my planner and would definitely purchase some of her art.

I get an IV for my rheumatoid arthritis every 6 weeks that takes about 2 hours. I think I have been getting it for about 10+ years now and it has done wonders in my life. I can feel me going downhill the week before I am due for it. Then I get it and have to rest the next day then I am doing much better. I had been having flare-ups every week that lasted 2-3 days. Once I was on it, I lost track of the fact that while I might have a bad day, I wan't having flare-ups until out of the blue I had one. I had forgotton how bad they were. We don't have the same problems but boy those IVs sure do help and I am glad that you are having such a good effect from yours and that it allows you to work parttime. I had to quit working as a nurse 22 years ago I got so bad. Now at 68 I don't think I can't even think about trying to go out to work! Best wishes to you and I hope that you continue to get good relief.
