Explanation: Some people are nerds. They know how to solve a Rubik's cube, so they flex on everyone by timing their solves, even going to competitions. If you hit the timer when the cube isn't fully solved, rather it's one turn away from being solved, it adds 2s to your time. This can be very frustrating, as you could get a really good time, just to realize you forgot to do one more turn, so your final time is 2s slower. Example: Say I'm at a competition. We're solving the classic 3x3x3 Rubik's cube, and the fastest I've ever solved it (my personal best) is 20.32s (this is not true, just pretend I'm telling the truth). So, I look at the cube, solve it and hit the timer. Wow! I got 19.73s!! I beat my personal record! But then I realize that the cube isn't fully solved, it's actually one turn away. But how bad could that be? A turn only takes like 10 miliseconds right? Except, for SOME REASON, it adds a whole TWO SECONDS to my time, so instead of beating my record, I get a 21.73s. This is why these nerds get so frustrated when they fail to align some colors. (Also I'm allowed to call y'all nerds cuz I was also a cuber)

It seems like there is a lot of confusion, so just to be clear I am NOT talking about +2's from uno, I am talking about the cubing penalty where you're time to solve the cube gets a +2 second penalty if the cube is one move away from being completed.
