If you could play cards exiled with Gix at any time, it would have the line of text, "You may play these cards without paying their mana cost for as long as they remain exiled." Since it doesn't tell you that, they have to be cast immediately. Like with Gonti or other similar cards. Or maybe the line, "For as long as you control, Gix, Yawgmoth Praetor."

Or "You may play those cards ... until end of turn". But the upside of the phrasing is it ignores timing restrictions, allowing you to cast any spell out of your opponent's deck on their end step :>

Love this version of the deck with 8 draw engines in the 3 slot. Great use of the case to recur the bat, too. And I gotta respect that Ultimate Guard ad. Not sure I’ve ever remembered a card sleeve ad at the end of a video before.

You saved my morning commute! I was stuck on the same lifegain deck you played a couple of months ago for so long because I just could not get enough wildcards to build any other fun decks (cause I'm a cheapskate and avoid buying gems). With only 5 rares spent I was able to amend to this deck and it is so much more fun and interactive than just smashing Benalia and Voice of the blessed and get shutdown by lockdown!

So, about Gix's wording, I think it is the same as Etali. When you have a card like Gonti, it says "as long as it stays in exile", where some red spells, bleh, say "until the ond of your turn" or "until the end of your next turn"

I don't think I've ever seen a two drop spend less time on the battlefield than Elas il-Kor. Every time I cast that creature or play against it, it dies so fast. I'll draw three cards off of caustic bronco before I gain a single life of Elas il-Kor and idk why that is.

The only issue I have with the LG dualup ergo I bought was the macOS because of the bad resolution scaling. I had fixed with some opensource software to add hdpi as option and looks amazing but now it has a random issues with the screen.

That gix ability needs a "Then," like some other cards are templated. I've gotten got by a lot of similar "do it now" cheat cards.

24:10 No, there's absolutely no way they win there. They've already spent two Rages, they've got no units on board, you've got 40 fucking life, and they don't even have any spelunkings down! They can't even wipe the board or they die, that opponent is absolutely just dead to rights there. What they needed to do (if they could) is Rage the bat for 1, play an untapped land, and wipe the board, but they decided to kill Gix instead.

this is a great deck for the meta, but just skip if you're playing poison or aren't fast enough against control, but literally most other decks you either dominate or survive until you flip the game

Can someone please explain the basic land manabase choice to me? 6 Plains vs 1 Swamp but 27 black with multiple double black vs 17 white cards. I get that you want a turn 1 white lifegain card, but shouldn't that ratio be more swamp-biased, say 3 Plains vs 4 Swamp?

Arenas algorithm is so trash... I face mono red every day and get smashed no matter what deck I play, finally I get fed up with it, build this to crush mono red, and since I've built it I've only been facing mono black removal.... This is such BS

Maybe someone here can help me, I don't see why there should be 1 basic swamp and 6 basic plains in this deck? Plaza of Heroes can also pay for a lot of the creatures but why go 6:1 instead of 5:2 oder 4:3? There's so much black mana needed

It could be a turn 1 optimization thing. This deck has no cards which cost only 1 black mana and nothing else but has 10 which cost 1 white mana. So a basic plain allows you to play both a plain and one of those cheap 1 mana spells on turn 1. And this deck has a lot of white/black lands so you shouldn't be running short on black mana on later turns.

This deck feels terrible against control. They just counter the key cards (just had 3 of my Gix's and 1 Amalia counteresd in a row.), while hoding board wipes and Memory Deluge. And if the go first, they can Temporal Lockdown before you get to play Gix. (this just happened in the next game)

Don't get mad at Red Aggro players. The deck is less expensive, easy to play, and works fast to get to Mythic. Now if you can find a deck that isn't expensive to make, and fun to play then I would stop playing Red Aggro. as much as I do. But till then it is the race to the bottom with turn 3 or turn 4 win!
