Yeah, except I still don’t clean up. Not sure at this point if it’s really me forgetting, or if I just no longer care what people think… my adhd makin me ponder philosophy sometimes… Also, what friends?! Ohhh… now I feel lonely again… Knew I was forgetting something… Forgot I had no friends and was lonely… knew it was odd I was feeling happy for once and couldn’t figure out why! Cause my ADHD made me forget I was lonely and had no friends! And somehow, I wish I hadn’t remembered that… now why was I here again? Oh yeah, to watch grizzy videos and laugh and simulate what having friends feels like! Man, there’s no way of saying that and not making it sound sad… I better get back to watching the video and forgetting again…

@@cool2frog tbh same, but i noticed after a bit it was a turning point. My good habits I formed never lasted because I relied on other people, doing it for them or what they might think. After a while, got the hair up my ass to start doing things for me and me alone. I stumble still, often, so it's a work in progress but I think it's in the right direction.

As someone who started making her own candles, I can confirm: Yes, the candle hack works. Most (if not all) melted candle waxes float, making cleanup easy, and the wax reusable. Wouldn't recommend putting the old wax on top of a different candle, however. The wicks are usually cut to size for a consistently even flame, and adding too much wax could bury the wick. I've made the mistake multiple times myself. If you're gonna reuse the wax, just melt it into a new container with a new wick. Much less hassle.

0:33 The panic cleaning is relatively normal-ish especially when someone is coming to visit. But from my own personal experiences and someone who has ADHD its an outside motivation that will actually get you to do it rather than trying to self motivate. Now does it always work? No, but its a good place to start since its the whole gamification/deadline objective of every day tasks. Also at 3:26 that is how I always use a strainer since I burn myself if I do it any other way, can confirm it works wonderfully.

About the noodle strainer one: the reason why you're supposed to drop the pasta in the strainer is so that you can wash it until it cools, then you reheat it in the pan, put a bit of salt and if you want to some garlic too. Makes it healthier and gets rid of all the pasta starch in the water. I think it's called starch, English isn't my first language. As for the reason why, if anyone cares: boiling the pasta breaks the carbon chains into smaller chains, which is what people call bad carbs. Cooling it down bonds those carbon chains back together into long chains, AKA good carbs. Food Theory had a video on it, even.

My favorite life hack was when I learned get a wet paper towel and put it in the corner of your cutting board before cutting onions. No more eyes watering since the chemical that makes your eyes water is attracted to moisture it goes to the paper towel instead.
