Thanks Stew for reacting to this beautiful, talented young lady!!!! How can she be ignored ??? And yes I agree she ranks right there with Lucy, and just a little more expressive with the body language and facial expressions, and yes that beautiful voice. She has only done 3 solos, but they REALLY show case her talents, This song was done at her grandfathers request before he died and she crushed it. And yes she has done several duets with both her brothers. I discovered Daura and Daylon when watching Lucy and Martha sing THE PRAYER, as it was a suggestion and watched them and man they were fantastic, it was their third recording and they crushed it. I suggested to LIFE IN 3D they look up Lucy/Martha and the replied they had. I would suggest you check out some of their other songs they have 43 recorded and they have 4 CD's released, all this year and they have recorded 25 songs in 2024 alone, all while all three attend Arizona State Univ. Daura has a degree in Biochemistry, Daylon working on his Masters in Electrical engineering. DeVon in his second year in electrical engineering. Daura and Devon both play the guitar, plus Devon and Daylon play the piano, I suggest you try Daura and Daylons THE PRAYER, ALL I ASK OF YOU, CHILD IN A MANGER, and Daura and Devon, HAVE YOUR SELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS. I'm definitely a new fan thanks so much for your recommendations Wilbur. She is absolutely fantastic, I can definitely understand the Lucy comparisons not only in her beautiful old school way of singing but also the simplicity of her video here with just her a microphone and a black background no gimmicks or flaunting flesh. She's very pretty and like Lucy doesn't over complicate things in her performances just keeps the experience feeling intimate and personal to the viewers.

@@adamknight7041 and Adam she and her brothers are really talented, Daura has 2 other solos, THE LAST GOOD BYE a singing tribute to WWII veterans, her 2 great grand fathers and a grand uncle, and they asked their fans to send in pictures of their relatives and they are featured, released just before Our memorial day of 2024, and she does a solo of the les mis song ON MY OWN, her duet with older bro Daylon of ALL I ASK OF YOU shows her range and power, the young lady has talent and you can tell she loves to sing !!

I find it ironic that Dauras name does not even appear under the heading of this song, only Karen Carpenders, who by the way did not write the song !!! She also just covered it, somebody else wrote it !!!! FYI !!!!

Daura must of titled it when posting it as Karen Carpenter cover, so maybe Karen is Dauras inspiration for doing this cover.
