Merci de nous avoir montré comment l'herbe est enfermée. J'en avais vu dans les prés en Norvège: ils appellent cela des "oeufs de tracteur" mais je n'ai pas vu comment ils étaient fabriqués. Chez nous (dans les Alpes) il n'y en a pas car on doit donner de l'herbe séchée aux vaches pour fabriquer du fromage. Les agriculteurs font des gros rouleaux mais avec du foin et ensuite il le mette à l'abri dans les granges. Quel travail vous faites dans cette maison ! Vous êtes très courageux et travailleurs. Bises de France. Thank you for showing us how the grass is enclosed. I had seen some in the meadows in Norway: they call them "tractor eggs" but I did not see how they were made. In our country (in the Alps) there are none because we have to give dried grass to the cows to make cheese. The farmers make big rolls but with hay and then they put it away in the barns. V detstve sme piekli na platni takejto peci ( hladká múka + varené pretlačené zemiaky ) lokše na sladko s maslom potreté a posypané cukrom,alebo s červenou dusenou kapustou na karamele a kačacie mäsko pečené, mňam . Objatie posielam za pozitívnu energiu, zručnosť , pracovitosť, inšpirácie ,nech v zdraví pokračujú opravy. Toľkokrát by som Ti podala vestu na ochranu chrbta pri chladnom počasí ☺🙋🙏🍀

Wonderful to follow. Greetings from Holland. You mentioned in the video that you planned to paint the stove and have already bought the paint. I would definitely not do that yet. The charm of the old stove will be gone forever with that. Wait how you feel about it in a year first. After painting, you can't go back if you regret it. I have been a stove builder myself. The refractory mortar you used may have been mainly for firebricklaying, not specifically for grouting. But I can't really judge that from the picture. Do you have any of the new mortar left or a dry piece? When dry, does that new mortar soften again after wetting? Probably the old grout is just a mixture of clay. Usually, the clay or loam was found in the immediate area. You can test that, by wetting on an old grout and keeping it wet for a while. If it softens, it is a clay mixture, and you could in principle grout it again with such a mixture (e.g. a grout sponge you use at 23:25). Maybe locals know where the clay was found. Every few years you could possibly grout again if you wished. The vertical joint between the stove and the heated wall will always show a crack, and it should because the stove and heat wall should be able to expand and contract independently. You don't need to turn the hob over either. The rings used to be used to fit special pans with recessed bottoms. People would then remove the rings to make the special pan fit. The fire then came into direct contact with the pan. You can use the whole plate even where there are no rings. You slide the pan to the spot with the desired heat. You can even simmer with the pan partly on the plate and partly on the stones. Often a pan of water was placed at such a spot, that way you always had hot water at hand. You will probably even sometimes cook on the side where you put the table at first (close to the stove). On that side, it will be less hot when you are cooking. In fact, the cast-iron door can sometimes radiate a lot of heat.... a lady shave then becomes unnecessary :)

And thanks for pointing out that the cast iron plate does not need to be replaced. The clay mixture was purchased at a hardware store. The instructions say that this is a universal solution that can withstand 900 C. They wanted to paint the stove, since the back wall of the stove was already partially painted.

@@VillageForestHouse_ i did the same thing as you but I was advice by an old timer to reversed it. the reason was the bigger ring for cooking meals, and the smaller rings for boiling pot later when you are done cooking and what remains to the stove was ember

Wunderschön Ich wohne leider in Deutschland in einer Stadt in einer Wohnung..und in Deutschland kann man Häuser nicht bezahlen weil sie so teuer sind... Darum denke ich darüber nach aus meinen Land weck ins Ausland zu ziehen..Hier können sich nur reiche Leute ein Haus kaufen Toll wie schön ihr es eich macht.❤❤❤

Mir wäre es auch egal wenn das Haus beschädigt ist harte Arbeit führt zum Ziel..so lange es man Reparieren kann ist alles gut ich liebe die Natur und Tiere des Waldes und ein selbst gemachtes Gemüse Beet.. Ich bewundere Euch beide zusammen ist man Stark und verwirklicht zusammen Eure Träume..❤️❤️❤️ ich brauche kein Modernes Haus um Glücklich zu werden..

Die wunderschönen alten Fensterrahmen für ein Gewächshaus zu nehmen, wäre doch eine Sünde. Arbeitet die Rahmen wieder auf. Abschmirgeln, neu verdichten und streichen. Diese schönen alten Rahmen geben euerm Haus erst das richtige Aussehen.

Leider handelt es sich dabei um kleinere Fensterreste. Es gibt nicht einmal genug davon, um ein vollwertiges Fenster zu bauen.

There is a chimney above the stove, apparently this is how they were built before, because in such wooden houses the stoves are identical.
