Darwin is a Young, Nice City but let's face it. After living there for 15 years you seem to get a little sick of it. But coming back there for a holiday is great as you see all the new changes. YES. They are adding a Myer to Casurina Square in that front carpark. It will start soon. It is a great place to raise a child at a Young Age, Not teens (Depending on their personality) Well, Darwin's housing prices are through the roof. $650 per week for a Modern 1 Bedroom Unit. .-. Darwin has loads of Beach's and are great to visit at Dusk when the sun is setting as it is about 26 Degrees and relaxing. Darwin offers a Huge Water park with long slides , Skate Park, Playgrounds and Swimming Pools. OK, I will leave it there.. You can ask me any questions about Darwin!

MrLachlan23 what would it be like for a young 20 something year old coming from a big city?
@MissFoxification9 жыл бұрын
+MrLachlan23 I think I have to agree there. I lived there in my teens and early 20's and it was just too.. stagnant. Same thing every day, no real excitement. So I returned to Melbourne. Now I am in my mid 30's and going back. I want the laid back lifestyle, the nice people.. I want a comfortable life and Darwin is the place for that. I think once you have lived in Darwin, you will go back.

Wow... So please do tell me *****, is it still "Palmaslum" or has it become a somewhat decent place to live?
@MissFoxification9 жыл бұрын
+iiBuilderKing I know where and what Palmerston is. I lived there about 9 years ago. Back then it was somewhat of a sh!thole and was known as Palmaslum;. Palmerston + slum = palmaslum I know there is good and bad in all areas, just much of "palmo" was fairly bad. Around the shopping areas was not the place to be at night unless you wanted to get beaten up. I am moving back to Darwin in January.

Ahhh, I guess not much has changed *****. Even Coconut Grove had its good side. Anywhere else I should avoid? I believe I will be moving to Leanyer, near Hibiscus. There's another place on offer in Coconut Grove too.

What's the story behind the weird warning at the start?
@TheMelkingcat7 жыл бұрын
bjdon99 In Australian Aboriginal culture, a person who has died cannot be named or depicted in photographs or any image. It's considered to be very bad luck. So in Australia, particularly given this is a video about the Northern Territory where Aboriginal culture is still very strong, that warning always precedes video footage of Aboriginal people in case any of those people have since died. That way, any person who believes in that culture can choose not to watch. I think that's the gist of it. You always have to ask an Aboriginal person before photographing or filming them. Some of them are fine with it, others (the more traditional) believe it captures a part of their soul.

Hello guys, Could someone give me a piece of advice. I am a marketing specialist from Mexico and will move to Darwin in some months however, I have seen many comments on youtube of people complaining of Darwin saying that transport is not efficient, weather is too hot, it is not easy to make friends and the city is isolated. Thanks.

Express English Training I am a local and Darwin would not be suitable for you. People here are idiots and you will not like it. Canberra would be better for you. Take care. 😉

Stay in the congested cities down south with the meth heads and crime. We'll enjoy a 'boring' nature filled life of peace. :)
