Seems German embassy in Nigeria isn't scheduling appointments for study visa, gotta any idea, of what is the cause?
@ImmigrantHubGermany3 жыл бұрын
We’re not sure what the reason could be, we just know that they have increased the requirements for securing a student visa; giving preference to PhD and first class students. Perhaps it’s time to look at other EU countries that offer free education for international students.

Hi Destiney...I schooled in your state FUTO in Owerri. Please I need to get clarification about sending TRANSCRIPT to uni assist... my school do not give ORIGINAL OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT to students. They ONLY send it to the INSTITUTION requesting for it in STAMPED SEALED ENVELOPE.. They only give students a copy called "STUDENT TRANSCRIPT COPY" . Student copy comes in plain white paper.....my question now is ....can I use that student copy as my original to make photocopy for notarization/certification? Or should my school forward it themself to uni assist sealed?
@ImmigrantHubGermany3 жыл бұрын
You can use the student transcript copy. Uni-assist understands that student can’t get the official copy. During my application in 2014, I also used the student transcript copy; notarized it in Owerri (in a law firm in Douglas road 😁) and sent it to Uni-assist. So you are on the right track. If you are applying to multiple locations on Germany, you can use our Euro Dispatch service to save cost of the delivery. Let me know if you’re interested.

@ImmigrantHubGermany2 жыл бұрын
Hello Amarachi, She talked about the transcript of her Bachelor’s degree in Nigeria. WAEC result is not accepted as a university entrance qualification in Germany. You may need a foundation or preparatory course to study in a German university. It’s good that you are already planing ahead and are learning the German language. Do you plan to study in German language?

Thanks for the info guys. Please, I need your guidance. I dropped out of the university few years ago, so the only certificate I have is Neco obtained in 2008. I'm looking to start afresh abroad. Europe or anywhere else and I'm 30 year old. How do I start as I can seem to find a way forward please? Thanks alot for your time t
@ImmigrantHubGermany3 жыл бұрын
Hey Bisem, Thanks for reaching out and for nicely describing your situation. First of all, age doesn’t matter when it comes to education or choosing a path in life. There are multiple options for you to take it up from where you stopped; my first question would be, what exactly do you want now; study (have a degree), learn a trade/profession, or work abroad? Your answer will help me give you some good suggestions. In any case, you should know that it is possible to continue your degree in Germany using your transcript, provided you studied for at least one year before dropping out. Alternatively, Germany offers the opportunity to learn a profession that will get you into the career force in Germany; a prerequisite would be to understand the language. So, let me know what exactly you want :)
@bisembisem20773 жыл бұрын
Thanks alot for the prompt reply. I'm looking to start afresh which would require me learning the language up to B1, but you mentioned I can continue provided I get the transcript which would be nice. Will there be a need for the proficiency test? I've started A1 already but considering the time factor. And what steps should I take? Thanks a whole lot. I do appreciate and I'm not taking it for granted. 🙏🙏
@ImmigrantHubGermany3 жыл бұрын
@@bisembisem2077 all good :) I am happy to help. The options I mentioned above are two: 1. Continuing your studies: you’d need your transcript from your previous university. Depending on the course that you want to study here, it may require German knowledge or not. There are Bachelors programs offered 100% in English language and some universities may waive test of English and things like that. 2. Vocational training (Ausbildung) in German: this is like studying and working at the same time. The major requirement is a secondary school qualification (which you have) and German language proficiency (which you will need to have). You can take up courses/programs in literally any discipline - you name it. So that’s why I said it depends on what you want. In Germany, the second option is also recognized as a formal Education and you can work professionally after the training which lasts for three years.
@bisembisem20773 жыл бұрын
🙏 I'd love to continue my studies, with the option of working whilst studying, (the 20 hour week rule in Europe). I Studied Surveying and Geoinformatics. and would love to continue if possible, but if I'm starting afresh, I'm looking to change to Business Administrations. Do I still need the B1 for these options or I can start applications? Thank you
@ImmigrantHubGermany3 жыл бұрын
@@bisembisem2077 what you will need would depend on the school - it’d be on a case by case basis. I’d recommend you joined this study and work abroad community, SetLinn: setlinn.com/welcome/ My team and I are also active there. We could connect you with some students in Germany, so you may be assured directly. Just keep in mind that the requirements and way to go would be on a case by case basis - that means, you find the school/course, then check their requirements and if they accept transcript transfer from abroad.

I want to ask; I graduated with a degree in Political science BSc (2015) with a GPA of 3.04 on a 5 scale. I want to study Masters in Social Work in Germany. Will I be eligible for the MSW Social Work program in Germany? - Does German universities accept foreign graduates like myself with physical disability (deformity on the left arm) for social work programs? - Are there English taught courses for social work programs in German universities? - Which German universities are good options for studies even if it means learning the German language? - What is the level of estimate for international students in learning German language?
@ImmigrantHubGermany2 жыл бұрын
Hi Chukwuemeka, Very good questions. Yes you will be eligible to study Masters in Social Work in Germany. The issue with your left arm won’t affect your acceptance to study here; so do not worry about it. If there’s anything, it will increase your chances. Since Social Work mostly involves dealing with the locals, I’d imagine that some level of the German language proficiency would be needed. You may have to check online to know which universities are offering the courses, and what the specific language requirements are. We provide some on our website (see link in our bio) but you may need to explore bigger platforms like the DAAD website. Feel free to contact me directly if you need any further assistance.

@@ImmigrantHubGermany bearing in mind that nothing but grass and tulips grow in the Netherlands and while they have a huge surplus and are among the biggest agricultural exporters, this pretty much is limited to livestock/meat and diary...while Germany has a vast variety of crops growing...I'm not sure where you are based now (you said you are in the countryside) but maybe you did spend too much time in Dortmund, which I guess doesn't have too much agriculture.
