Beautiful, thanks for that Ariel! It’s so interesting to see the behind the scenes view of olive oil production! Have fun & safe travels! (I wouldn’t mind if Silke showed us some cooking with the olive oil too. Love Greek food. Enjoy!)💞🫶🏻

I was in Crete for about 2 weeks last June/July - mainly staying in Chania and trips from there followed by 4 nights in a “pink” sand beach. Loved it! Such gorgeous water! Visited an olive grove that a couple had and they had a shop much like this one. I brought back a liter of evo oil and now am about out of it. I asked them why we never see Greek Olive Oil in our stores in USA. Their answer was that Italy exports more oil than they produce. Interesting! The people are wonderful!

I love coming with olive oil. But I don’t like to eat olives. My husband loves them. We have some Greek friends. They all have the accent. Hen I first met them I had a hard time understanding them. But you get used to their accent. And they have lived in the United States a long time. That was very interesting. And it looks like a beautiful place.

The sad thing about greek olive oil is that huge quantities are sold to italians who then put their lebell and sell it as italian... Unfortunately they control the commercial routes and have the network and the money to do it....
