Just want jump out of the woodwork and say, as a Maine girl who’s always been ‘drawn’ to Japan on a level I can’t explain ( past life? Lol) and being 33 years old and still haven’t been to Japan- thank you for your videos and know it to creates a way for me to vicariously get an experience when an illness from bug bite and now the pandemic etc keep me from that dream.

When I was in Japan as an exchange student, I slept through an earthquake! It was only a 3.1, but as an Arkansas girl who rarely experiences one, I was kind of sad I didn’t wake up! Lol!

Yes, earthquakes are very scary! I experienced one in Washington State back in Feb. 2001. It was a 6.8 on the scale. I will never forget it.

I’d definitely get that bag together and keep one in your cars too. I think Japan has recently predicted a large damaging one is on its way. How they can accurately predict that is beyond me. Hopefully you’re not in a tsunami risk area. 🤲🏻

I think we have the same, or very similar dog bed (couch). That cup noodle bag makes me wish borders were open so I could come to Japan this year. I love cup noodle too. Here in the states they are hard to find other than basic chicken. I have commissary access though and I can get the Curry one, it's my favorite. I work in an elementary school and I bring them for lunch all the time. I have turned on several people to curry cup noodle.

Caitlin! If you like a little bit of spice on your eggs you should try the Lao Gon Ma spicy chili crisp. I think it’s a Chinese dish but it comes in a jar and you can find it at most grocery stores!❤️ it adds an umami, barbecue, spicy flavor to eggs and it’s so dam good😩😩

We would very rare get earthquakes where I grew up. Where I live now, there are sometimes tornado warnings, and there will be a really spooky sounding alarm on the radio. It always freaks me out.

In Florida, because of hurricanes, I have placed my most important photo memories in a container I can just pick up and go if there is an evacuation. We also have our important papers in a fireproof bag that we can grab and go. Would love to see how they prepare in Japan for earthquakes.

I was in Malaga, Spain 6 years ago and they had a 6.8 earthquake I woke up and I saw my bed shaking, the chandelier go round in circles... and my first thought was "... I can't be that cold" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 was my first time feeling an earthquake so it did not register

I also live in an area that gets a lot of earthquakes, but we don't get warnings for earthquakes, we just get earthquakes. The worst earthquake I experienced was a 7.1 and I would like to never do that again.
