I retired but when I was working we had to have professional relationships with our coworkers …to me, that meant that no matter how I felt about someone, I needed to be able to work well with them. It wasn’t just someone you wouldn’t want to have lunch with…it was beyond that. So I understand what you mean. When I retired these same few individuals still wanted to keep in touch via social media etc…and then I realized I didn’t have to do that anymore …what freedom and you know what? Within two weeks health problems I had like vertigo disappeared 😮…it really healed me to not have to suppress my feelings like that. 🎉 to keep peace and order is important but when it effected my health I realized how hard it was for me.

7/11 and other convenience stores in Japan like Lawson and Family Mart etc are amazing and often open 24/7. During our years in Japan we visited a konbini every day. Lots of good food that can also be heated in the shop, all at reasonable prices. They have so much stuff. Even a stranded salaryman after having slept in capsule hotel can get a pair of socks, a tie and a white shirt! 7/11s in for example Sweden are really crappy, only sell sodas, a hot dog maybe and tobacco. In Romania where I live now there are no such shops. But in NY you have delis! I love these too.
@Cami-h8uАй бұрын
@mikaellarsson7932 yes but delis are super expensive now. Imagine 24 dollars for a bagel and an juice ..lol and 34 dollars for a pastrami sandwhich 🤦🏽♀️
@mikaellarsson7932Ай бұрын
@@Cami-h8u yes, I know. Prices in the US are generally scary. Pastrami sandwiches are though wonderful. Pastrami originated from Romanian immigrants, the country where I live now. Today I make my own sandwiches at home. Cheers! 🙂

Konnichiwa Samurai Daddy, great clip again. The machines which make smoothies did not exist when I lived in Japan. Still I think I would stick to chu-hi and beer :-)) In Japan I was always on my bicycle and if in the car my gf drove it except for longer distances. The fish and the gyozas for lunch looks great. Gomtang is good, Korean and made with beef and bones instead of pork. I cooked oxtail yesterday, but Spanish style, rabo de toro, with red wine. Yeah, I have gone through the changing of the wardrobe and seasons in Japan, even in Kyushu there is a stark contrast between summer and winter. HeatTech stuff is good, I also have Japan made underwear and other items that do the opposite, keep you cooler in the summer. Never been to Jonathans´s family resto, but to many similar. The hamburger soft pan steaks looked good, I also like doria, a great Japanese invention. Reasonable prices. Yes, prices can be found low in Japan, but rent etc is high, not only in Tokyo. Aha, so you are a Kansaiman. I like Osaka besides Fukuoka, but it is a very big city. One thing that puzzles me is why people in Osaka stand to the right in escalators etc while in the rest of Japan they stand to the left :-)) As usual I do not comment on the sweet stuff. Arigato!

Regarding the appearance of your wife and son, in order to respect their privacy, maybe you could blur or put emojis in place of their faces ? Hello, how are you, wow I am very surprised by what the lifestyle is like in Japan, or rather if it is stressful or not, but I would like to ask you a question: what is the study like there in Japan, what are the hours? Here in Mexico, children's education is complementary in a paid institution, however in a public school it is very different since their hours are from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm without having music, English or arts classes. I hope your week is great. I look forward to a new video from you. I am your fan ❤️😊

Thanks again for your comment! The Japanese education system follows a "6-3-3-4" structure, which includes 6 years of elementary school, 3 years of junior high school, 3 years of high school, and typically 4 years of university, with options for 2-3 years of junior college or vocational school. Elementary school hours vary depending on the grade, but they usually run from 8am to 2pm. English starts in the third grade. When I was a child, English started in junior high school.

I do not know how old your child is, but there is a nice zoo in Fukuoka, also short ferries to Nokonoshima island, the Fukuoka Tower is nice if one is not afraid of heights, the port tower on Hakata waterfront pier is free and there are good, cheap restaurants nearby, baseball is great in the dome, Don Quijote not to be missed, but maybe you have them in Korea too?
