Good idea! I'll keep your question in mind. Before having a Q&A video, I can share briefly with you here :) I came to Japan on a student visa to study Japanese. Then, I secured a job and switched to a work visa. Hope that helps! :D

Hi there! To rent a car in Japan as a tourist, you need an international driving license. But if you’re staying here long-term, you’ll need to obtain a Japanese driving license. Depending on your nationality, you may be able to convert your existing license by passing a paper test. Hope that helps :)
