Just a simple phrase of "Ang sarap ng buhay sa Pinas." makes me cry due to what's happening in our country. My heart goes to farmers, fisherfolk, blue-collar workers, kids who have to work to afford education, parents who have an empty stomach just so they can give their food to their kids, the rights of Indigenous People, and every Filipino people in the marginalized sector. I pray and hope they these politicians who will win this election will turn out to be for the people and by the people. I pray and hope for good governance because that is what we need especially with health, economic, and environmental crisis that the world is facing.

Was that at nuvali? We were there Jessica. We were part of the 225,000 strong Filipinos who stood up for our country that day, that night. It was to show support for our Vice President who ran for presidency. Sadly, the Filipinos have never learned their lesson. The son of the late dictator without degree and with pending legal cases has so far leads the election. He won over a lawyer and an economist with clean records of service and has even received several recognition for her good governance. This is a huge disrespect towards the families and victims of the Martial Law who haven't even received a single apology from them. Plus the result is still quite sketchy. Our fight is not yet over. Soon we may find, that there would be no more jobs for a lot of Filipinos. In fact, I'm jobless for 2 yrs now. I worked in the travel industry, so we were hardly hit by the pandemic. I seriously don't know if I ever find a job again considering the current situation. To top it off, we're facing a very high inflation.
