This fall I was busy working on a new project (which I tell you about at the end of the video!). I also fit in some fall camping and hiking because the leaves this year were INCREDIBLE!! tears, tears, tears--just so moved by the images, the adventure, the solitude, the stillness/quietness, and the music--I've been missing these VLOGS & this one was just what was needed. Couple questions: 1) do you use the same tent when you're camping as when you're backpacking or do you "save" wear on your backpacking tent using a non-backpacking one (heavier/bigger/less expensive/delicate, etc.) when you car camp? 2) love those pants--what are they? 3) suggestion: when you put your course together, would love to have you do an episode on the process of doing it--yes, the technical aspects, etc., but also things like how you found the motivation and grit to muscle it out and make it happen such as you started speaking about in this VLOG--I think that is as much of the story and inspiration for your viewers (fans) as anything else.

I have a smaller tent for backpacking. When I'm car camping, I like to have a little extra room, since I'm not carrying the tent in my backpack, I don't mind if it's heavier 😁 My pants are the Headlands Hybrid Cargo II Tight from Athleta. I linked to them in the description box of the video because they are my current favorite pants! So comfortable and durable for a day outdoors. I am filming a behind the scenes type of video for the dutch oven course that will show all the things that went into making it! I am excited to edit that one and show the entire process. Thank you for taking us along. I remember moving from Houston, Texas to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in 1977 and experiencing true fall for the first time in my life. It caused sensory overload. The Dutch oven course sounds interesting, looking forward to seeing it. I just got back from camping around southern Utah. Spent a few days exploring forest service roads in the Dixie and Fishlake forests as I made my way across route 12. It was absolutely stunning. I've barely scratched the surface and feel like I could spend a month just in those two national forests. Utah trips always deliver.

Absolutely loved this video! Autumn is my favorite season!!! No other season, for me comes close. 😁 I live in NJ and as I was watching your video of the different weather and landscapes Utah has, it reminded me of how versatile the state of NJ is. It's definitely not as elaborate as Utah is, of course however NJ has its share! From the Jersey beaches, the Pinelands, cities and suburban area, part of the AT and so on! I do lots of day hikes however I have yet to do overnight camping, which I would love to try out.
