This is so great. So often I just hear people making fart sounds with the 0-Coast and dusty squeals with the Strega and you are actually making beautiful music with these instruments. I’ve been considering them both and this is very helpful. This is more like what I have had in my imagination of what could be done with these.

Haha yes I’ve heard many strange experiments with Strega and 0-Coast. Thank you…they’re a great team….In a recent interview with Cortini he is using Strega’s LFO as a second oscillator in his live setup. This to me is incredibly cool.

Love the long, morphing tones from Strega’s effect. The delay line really adds harmonic layers.

Beautiful arrangement with the trio. I may have to try those patches on mine. This is one of your best tracks with these 3.

Just coming here from listening to some of the old Miles/Gil Evans tracks; can't say the transition was the least abrupt. Nicely done, making something (semi-)civilized out of the Strega component.
@jon_gee3 жыл бұрын
Sweet! I LOVE Bill Evans piano playing. His touches on the keys are so delicate yet so meaningful. Yeah man classic jazz with a Strega chaser is some abrupt vibes indeed! Glad you stopped by. Thanks for tuning in!

Will you share the patch for this? It's beautiful ❤
@jon_gee7 ай бұрын
Thank you. I’m using each lane on the 0-ctrl to control the v/oct for each synth. The third lane is used to modulate the dynamics on 0-coast. Using the touch plates to mod the Tone knob on Strega and the multiply knob on 0coast. Playing around with Strega’s effects. It takes a while to tune but once you have it dialed it’s epic.

Also just posted a new Strega tune.

I see you've got the 3 Moog semi modulars standing next to this Make Noise setup. Have you tried combining them all together and what are your experiences regarding connectivity, possibilities and of course sound?
@jon_gee2 жыл бұрын
I have since sold the Moogs. I cross-modulated them a couple times with fun results! I especially enjoyed running the DFAM into Strega.

@@Cutflower it wasn’t easy. My studio space is limited and I wanted the Pulsar. Found a used one for a great discount so I had to do it. No lookin back man! Hehe for real I had a great time with the Moogs for years. I recorded many tunes. The mother is still my favorite of them all. I still have the Matriarch for that Moog sound.

Reminds me of Boards of Canada! Is this all coming from the trio? Apart from the drum? I’m about to order my 0 coast and 0 ctrl soon ❤
@jon_gee2 жыл бұрын
Yes. I usually use 0-coast for bass and Strega for the higher interval. It’s all the trio. Maybe a touch of reverb from strymon big sky in the bus mix. …and thank you I love BoC I’m sure it’s obvious…they changed the world of electronic music.
