I'm struggling deciding to make the move to France and it was insightful to hear your discussion about fear. Can't wait to hear more about your journey (especially building new relationships, maintaining physical and mental health, learning the language, etc.) By the way, Perhaps you can discuss the neighborhood and apartment hunting process in NIce once you settle in?

We have our apartment searching story coming out soon. As for discuss neighborhoods we'll have to put that on our schedule.

It sounds like many Americans are coming home... America and the American dream was made by European immigrants. Great country , but given the current world situation, I understand why so many Americans 2 or 3 generations old are moving back to Europe. Anyway, welcome home

We have moved country 3 times and yes with kids and it is hard, hard on your family BUT after 23 years is my thought that I would do it all over again. My thought is that we can always come back home. Have a fantastic time in Franch.

Thanks for sharing. It's shocking how much harder it is to move with kids.

@@Roamaroo you're so right and when they reach school age it becomes a little more of a challenge. But boy they get so much out of an experience like this. My kids today are not only Danish/American but see themselves as world citizens.

@@Roamaroobut you will meet great group of friends through your child! At first it’s an adjustment but it is such a great experience and you will look back at this time as the best decision you made. I’m 20 years from having made the move to France (now living in CT with teenage kids) and looking forward to going back once they head to college. Enjoy it!

French here. My dream from my youth was going to India, alone (I'm a woman), for a trip of minimum one year. I made it at the age of 41, letting my 22yo daughter on her own in France (her father have vanished). It was the most important and the more beautiful adventure of my life; my daughter later have joined me for few months. I have been there a lot from this time, it's my second country, a totally different culture (as you can imagine), a totally different univers actually. I could die tomorrow, I will leave this world without regrets. So, you can imagine that I'm hundred per cent with you on this project! 💪💯💥

Sure, Nice is a very very dangerous era. It must be very very difficult for American to acclimate there. (It's easy to know what you're voting for based on your own fears. Largely irrational fears.)

I think both of you should read the Bible and get to know who you are before God and go from there after receiving the saviour Jesus Christ 😅 et voilà
