@Giraffafi124 I don't know where you live, but here in San Francisco lay offs have been rampant, food, insurance, utilities all going up. I am not Republican or Democrat by the way. I am merely stating what I have observed here and experienced. I am getting messages left and right on LinkedIn from people needing a job. I haven't seen this since 2008-2009.

My life is fulfilling simply because I have many interests outside of work that sustain me. Of course I'd like to be paid more because, inflation, but my job is not everything to me. It's just necessary for the other things I really want to do.

OK, here’s the algorithm Step one watch the Jordan Peterson video series maps of meaning. Step 2 watch the Jordan Peterson video series called personality and it’s transformations they’re all on KZbin for free. They are lectures that he did while he was at Harvard. Then after you watch those two series keep watching the rest of his stuff you will know more about yourself and other people and everything. He also has a video series on the daily wire platform called visions where he explains how important it is to have a vision of your future and what it could be like It will change the way you see everything

except *respectfully* Jordan Peterson is a hack. he knows how to use engaging language and worldview contrasts but his disdain for anything ‘left or secular’ reveals his biggest biases. i had a brief moment with his lectures too in my early 20’s & found him to be encouraging. But quickly seeing his hate for anyone ‘not christian- european centered, he quickly fell off. he can write books all day about how if we don’t clean our rooms, how can we expect the world to be better. a heap about ‘personal responsibility’ and while that can be very useful advice - he doesn’t address the primary systems of violence that lead to depression, incel ideation, & historical exploitation as experienced by capitalism. SORRY, I DID MOT MEAN TO RANT AWAY _ just saying, other ways of finding meaning would be to realize - you’re not alone in this struggle of existence of a better world. all of these struggles are interconnected and the moment we recognize our strengths as a collective we can make a better world. all the best !

jordan gets a lot of hate but he's really great as far as modern male role models go. it's clear that he's trying his best to be a good person and understand others, he doesn't act like he has all the answers either
