*SPOILER WARNING!* For those who are wonder if you could make Rachel see her real mother there was a path I didn't even know myself but you had to replay the episode 2 because you need to ask her to give you the bracelet not kiss or tattoo (like I did) so in episode 3 when you try to convince Sera to see Rachel you give her the bracelet so she will turn up to see Rachel at the end custscene at the lighthouse. I'm not sure if you really need to tell her the truth too but if you want I can upload the path for this secret ending, just let me know in the replies of this comment. Thanks for sharing this walk through! I ended up protecting Rachel and didn't tell about her father. Sera had a good argument. Even though her father was wrong with his methods, I can understand he did it to protect his daughter. It's the old question of, "how far would you go to protect your child?"

There's a confirmed speculation on how Rachel ended up dead by the hands of Mark Jefferson and his puppet Nathan Prescott and why American Rust Junkyard being her grave for 2 years. Well, Rachel had romantically involved with Frank that made Chloe jealous and thus making AmberPrice relationship to dwindle but Rachel knew Frank is not good enough for her as Frank became violent with his drugs. And also there's a strong theory that eventually confirmed by the devs of LiS that Rachel and Mark had hook up and Rachel loved to get her pictures taken by him and that Rachel have feelings for him but Jefferson only seem to cared not loved her and that he knew Rachel's relationship with Chloe and Frank but both Chloe and Frank are completely clueless. And someday, Nathan wanted to follow Mark's footstep but end up accidentally killing Rachel by giving her an overdose and somehow chose the American Rust Junkyard as the place for the dirty photoshoot. That's when I saw the plot came out that Nathan realized Rachel's dead and had to buried her on that very spot where Max and Chloe found her remains. I might have pointed the obvious plots but I just want to gather that plothole in the end of the very last scene of "Hell is Empty" episode and hopefully getting an opened thoughts about this.

I get the vibe sometimes that in the end scene with Sera she is dead. Chloe sees the dead in her sleep and got kicked in the head right before. I also think when they are on the coast it's after both Rachel and Chloe are dead. Max was dicking around with time so much you'll never really know. You also don't get to hear what Chloe admits to Rachel unless she lies.

Chloe's mom doesn't actually protect her daughter's rights or at least she does not do it actively enough. She just seems to be passive towards David's rules. She shouldn't let him treat her daughter like that, even if they aren't that close anymore and she's overwhelmed after her husband's death and needs someone else's help. I know she only means the best for her kid but Chloe has a point there.

Concuerdo totalmente con eso, intente seguir la historia como si fuera el personaje viviendo eso no lo que yo elegiría, cada vez que ocurrían momento con David me di cuenta que es así como dices y para mi es cierto porque en realidad la mamá solo seguía las ordenes de David y lo que opinaba de la hija, claro con su esposo fallecido y Chloe problemática necesitaba apoyo entonces iba a aceptarlo para conseguirlo, le permitió vivir en su casa sin preguntarle a la hija o pensar en como le afectaría, si tanto se preocupaba por ella no lo hubiera hecho, le permitió que le revise la habitación de Chloe, David guardó la toalla de pirata y sus cosas para colocar las suyas, en verdad David quería intentar hacer de figura paterna pero en verdad solo le importaba la mamá no a Chloe. Para mi quedó así: Chloe distanciado de David pero apoyando a mamá porque la ve feliz, hay que reconocer que David mostró empatía contando lo de la guerra y Chloe no deberia aceptar la foto, si bien ella ya tenia sus problemas y tenia cosas que hacer por lo tanto no tenia que discutir pero no iba a dejar aceptar sus reglas y lo que estaba haciendo, ademas de que no se estaba preocupando por su mamá en ese momento solo de ella, no le importaba la historia de David. Como sucedió lo del matrimonio y David esta viviendo en la casa, ella lo acepta y debería irse con Rachel mientras ellos hacen su vida (podrían tener un hijo o algo), Chloe y su mama habría buena relacion.

I just realized that I wrote it in Spanish and the comments are in English: I totally agree with that, I tried to follow the story as if I were the character living that, not what I would choose, every time there was a moment with David I realized that it is as you say and for me it is true because in reality the mother only followed the David's orders and what he thought of the daughter, of course with her deceased husband and a problematic Chloe, she needed support so she was going to accept it to get it, she allowed her to live in her house without asking her daughter or thinking about how it would affect her, if she cared so much he wouldn't have done it for her, he allowed her to check out Chloe's room, David put away the pirate towel and his things to put his own, David really wanted to try to be a father figure but really he only cared about the mom, not about Chloe. For me it looked like this: Chloe distanced herself from David but supporting mom because she sees her happy, it must be recognized that David showed empathy by telling about the war and Chloe should not accept the photo, although she already had her problems and had things to do therefore she didn't have to argue but she wasn't going to accept his rules and what she was doing, besides that she wasn't worrying about her mom at that moment, only about her, she didn't care about David's story. As the marriage happened and David is living in the house, she accepts it and should go with Rachel while they make their life (they could have a child or something), Chloe and her mother would have a good relationship.

I don't care what anyone says, I like James. Yes, he may not be perfect, but parental instincts are fierce. He was terrified of letting his daughter become corrupted by Sera, who already wasn't a good person, atleast as far as he knew, and he didn't want anyone to take Rachel away from him. He was never cruel to Chloe or Rachel, and was just a scared, desperate father.

I wish game went into more detail about how Rachel got caught up. That's what I really cared about. They could have humanized her and told more about Chloe relationship with her dad. Oh man I remember playing episode 3 a lot later than I wanted to, dunno why, I guess it was because I played the first LIS between episodes and was burned out about it, but that just lead to me playing it 3 months after release. And boy oh boy am I happy about it, this one episode ruined the entire franchise for me in a land slide. I usually don't give two flying fucks about politics but this one drove me up a wall. They come to a point where they just blatantly demonise men, and I can't stand this kind of shit. I'm okay with demonising nathen, as he was a rich prick who obviously liked the power kicks he was having even though there was more to his struggle, same with frank. But fuck me with how they ruined Damon and Eliot, Damon I can at least see as a straw men, he is the evil ruff guy infested with toxic masculity or what not. But even he gives a hand full of valid points when it comes to stuff, I mean that whole bit about "when a woman slaps me it's okay, but when I do it..." part, how mean and evil it sounds this guy is in the right with this statement, and even his behaviour in the first meating, sure I don't like that he grabed chloe but at the same time I can see him just trying to test her tough girl persona, as he alluded to earlier. The proportion of domestic violence is way more aggressiv again men than it is against woman, and more often then not they go full force in like amber did and cause serious injuries, and still get away with it, which is in my eyes a major problem. Second of and what killed it for me, was the scene with eliot, who really wanted to help Chloe like at this point in time chloe has been going of the deep and and was getting in some really nasty situations especially with damon, so yeah, I'm defineatly on eliots side, and am appalled by how chloe and thus the dev's treat him. This game is just a franchise killer, an insult for every men living at the current time, and a textbook example of character assassination. I'm open to discussion or different opinions, if you have a different perspectiv, please feel welcome to correct me or just give me your feels about all of this.
