Generally, I agree. It seems like they were so busy trying to reintroduce Max that they forgot they also need a well-written story that makes sense, as well as including memorable and interesting support characters. It feels like “Double Exposure” is trying really hard to be mysterious but just ends up confusing. It’s also a big problem that the story involves so many different things that have little to no connection to each other. A Life is Strange game about a murder mystery, traveling between timelines, shapeshifting, several people with powers etc. could work. But not having all of it in the same game. Another big problem is that “Double Exposure” fails to deliver the same emotional impact that the first game did. I don’t feel like I have any emotional connection to any character and therefore I don’t really care about anybody. I don’t know anything about Safi, so when she is getting shot I am not sure why I should even care. However, I didn’t know Chloe either when she was getting shot by Nathan in the beginning. But the difference is that we get to know Chloe throughout the game. So when the last choice is presented, that does have a lot of emotional impact. I never get an emotional connection like that with Safi.

People nowadays should really stop using the word WOKE, the game is bad because it's story is badly written, that's all.

Idk why these people play this game in the first place. By their definition it's "woke" since the beginning😂

@Sean20245 @@Boorosanno it's not... It's not shoved down your face at every corner in the first game. It is shoved down your face for the last like 3 LIS games.... There's a thing called subtlety... That's the difference in what makes one think woke and what doesn't. Woke is shoved down your face for a message. Every single person in this game is gay or trans... Every single one except the white male detective and he's killed and forgotten about after 1 chapter. Y'all gonna tell people not to use the term woke then recognize the difference and accept it.

@dylanandrich1949 there is only one trans character. There is only two or three gays. There are many straight characters in this game and ten thousands of other games. You are not being brainwashed OR forced to play "woke" game. So what's your point?
@dylanandrich1949Күн бұрын
@Boorosan no Reggie, vin or whatever his name... And his bff, safi, Amanda, the black chick... Her bff... They're all gay and it's all forced down your throat. And you're right no one's forced to play this but it is forced into gaming.... Every fucking where... I know you've noticed how every girl in modern games are ugly and masculine and usually gay right? Or do you not see this cause you live in delusional land?

If this vid blows up I already know my comment here is gonna get attacked but I find it so funny how fans are like “ewwww Max would never like someone like Vinh” because sure…Max has definitely only gone for the most upstanding, morally un-questionable people like…Chloe, a girl who was fine with stealing from the handicapped lmao. Honestly? As forced as I think the romance aspect of this game is in general, Amanda is the worst offender considering the fact that her being a love interest feels like she exists purely for that aspect - like she’s filling a hole in the LiS blueprint. She’s completely disconnected from the plot, and we barely know anything about her outside of the fact that she owns a bar, has five siblings, and goes to therapy lmao. Compare that to Cassidy and Finn, two characters who existed entirely within the context of the episode’s narrative, with little optional scenes for either romance option, with lines of dialogue changed, and a mention in one of the endings When you compare it to LiS 2, it’s pretty bleak. This is one of the reasons why I found Vinh far more compelling as he actually connects to the plot and has a surprising amount of complexity under the surface. In fact I would say he’s the only character in the game who’s genuinely pretty well written…for the most part (the cow skull situation is still a big ???).

i feel like this was super rushed as well, and it annoyed me that they forgot the fact to explain why favi died in the other reality too.

The first one was called: Life is Tumblr by some people, because the dialogue was so bad. "Stupid gun" and all these brain-dead takes that are spot on for young teens. Sadly it's accurate how some talk.

Alderman was the spice the continuation of murder mystery plotline needed and the got rid of it by the beginning of episode 3 his "death" STILL MAKES NO GODDAMN SENSE. Who's power caused this? Wtf was that. Why is Moses so happy about his gray hair?
@paer764 күн бұрын
Just a cash grab. The premise is great. The execution past the 2nd episode is diminishing returns, lazy rethreads and plot hole galore. I bet people who bought that ultimate edition are questioning themselves right now. Absolute garbage ending. Worse than any other game in the series by far.

How can an amazing time traveling story based game go from that to cringe conversions about gay sex

It definitely feels empty and a bit off for me! Like there WAS something there but some story parts never felt finished to me! I miss the air and the way the first one has more feeling to it along with the way you can explore a bit more! The bar is great but... I would rather see more of the area like Arcadia Bay had. The school and the various other places just feel a bit bare and overall it feels lackluster when compared to the story of LiS! Not a bad game but more story content would have definitely made it better!
