Also something to note about Jefferson is that no matter what he is indeed alive. David shooting him happens right before Max goes back in time through the photo at the diner which is when she warns Chloe to just go back home, tell David to find the dark room, and head for the lighthouse. So in the timeline where you actually make the final choice of the game, you weren’t there to tell David that Chloe was killed by Jefferson, because she wasn’t, so David doesn’t shoot Jefferson.

Steph knows about Max, when Mikey asks Steph in Wavelengths about where Chloe is, she says “Heard she’s off the grid like me, the two wandering weirdos” Steph and Chloe were friends but her and Max never met (except in the comics) so it would make more sense that Steph knows Max through Chloe in Bae ending rather than her just randomly knowing about Max in the Bay ending.

Not sure if the books are canon, but in Steph’s Story, Steph says she’s met Max. Referring to her as cool, quiet & artsy, and not the kind of girl that she thought Chloe would go for, but that it still works :)

Also Sean and Daniel met David, sure David would probably keep Daniel’s power a secret that only the people of “Away” would know, but he and Chloe have a good relationship now and could have 100% talked about Sean and Daniel, even with KAREN herself. Not to mention that could also explain Chloe’s absence, maybe Chloe is spending Christmas in “Away” with David and Max chose to stay on campus to do some work and be there for students.

Square Enix having them keep quiet about Chloe, in my opinion, is because she IS in the game. Yes, it could be that Chloe isn’t there or will disappoint people so they wanna grab as much money as they can before the other shoe drops, but I think they’re banking on the big youtube reactions and emotional catharsis it will be to EVERYONE when we do see Chloe in game. Someone on reddit described this as an actual business move and compared it somewhat to Marvel movies for simplicity, if your movie has surprises that will please the audience, the audience will have a better opinion of the movie because they had a great emotional experience with it especially in that pleasant surprise. It’s probably the same tactic Square is using here with Chloe, could be wrong but seeing the DeckNine team act so confident and proud of this game, the same team that worked on BTS, the same that added Chloe and Rachel into Wavelengths for us fans to enjoy, I think it’ll be great.

About that, i really hope that they will release a DLC like wavelenghts or some sort of prequel with Max and Chloe on the road, maybe even have the meet some of the characters from the older games like Steph, Alex, maybe Daniel (not Sean because he is still in prison in the US or in Mexico) And of course i would like to see Rachel too, i mean it in a permanent way and not just an echo from an other timeline like we see in Double Exposure, but Max have to destroy the fabric of reality to make that happen, But i will gladly take the echo too, just one last time.

11:30 nope. After Max escapes the dark room, she goes to find Warren and gets the photo to photo jump and stop Jefferson from killing Chloe and kidnapping Max. So the choices you made of killing Jefferson didn't happened because that timeline got reseted. Jefferson is alive and in prison in both timelines. In the sacrifice Chloe he got arrested after Chloe death and in the sacrifice arcadia bay choice David found him in the dark room where Victoria is kidnapped and he got arrested. Both David, Victoria and Jefferson are alive in both timelines. The story of Victoria being saved by David its confirmed in LIS2 episode 5 (if you choose sacrifice arcadia bay)

The gameplay shown at pax has me super excited, cannot wait for the game next month. I hope Sean and Daniel get referenced. If Chloe is in Double Exposure, i’m only expecting her to show up on the in game social media, and a video call, similar to how Mikey appeared on a video call in the Wavelengths DLC

Hello :) It was very interesting to see Max accidentally rewind, because that’s 100% what happened in that scene! She will most likely regain control over her power again, although I’m not sure if she would like to use it, too. On the other hand, I doubt it’s only for emergencies … or maybe we will get the choice? I’m happy that Joyce and Victoria have been confirmed to appear in Max’s text messages :) As someone who likes Warren too, I think he will only be referenced (maybe in comparison to fellow scientist Moses?) in the Bay timeline, similar to Kate, who only 100% survives in this path. I sadly don’t believe either of them will make an actual appearance. For that, Joyce is probably the most likely candidate - Baers will hopefully reunite with Chloe and Bayers might see Joyce again. :) It would be difficult to reference Life is Strange 2 because of its drastically different endings, so I think it’s more likely that David will get referenced - “he lives in a community in Arizona” or something along those lines. I was kinda sad when you didn’t even mention Ryan when talking about returning True Colors characters XD To be fair, Alex and Steph are pretty much canonized, but I think it would be much more difficult to reference them because they aren’t nearly as tight with Max as other characters are. Speaking off … Chloe. I would be massively surprised if she _didn’t_ return in the Bae timeline, but I also believe the reason why she wasn’t shown it not only to keep the suspense, but also because she won’t be the focus of the game. It would be like showing David in the trailer for LIS2’s last episode; simply wouldn’t make sense because that’s not what the game is about. The chapter names are … interesting, to say the least! I hope the chapters will be longer than TC’s, but at the same time, I hope they’ll won’t be long because of padding, but because of interesting content ;D

I think the rewinding is just for when you “lose”, like getting caught snooping or something. Similar to how in the first game it forced you to rewind when you messed something up. So she still has her rewind power, but we’re not allowed to use it at free will as the player
