I wish they had given Steph the option to go outside and explore Haven Springs and seeing Gabe and Ryan etc etc. It felt kind of boring, no offense but I did enjoy playing it.

I feel like that's what they went for, showing that most of Steph's days in Haven were lonely and monotonous, and how it made her feel. But for us as players, I agree it would be more enjoyable to play outside as well.

I agree but I think the whole point is showing what stephs life was in Haven Springs, she mostly spent her time in the recording booth and in the main game, staph does mention a couple times that she don’t really see a point in Haven Springs. But yeah I do wish she could at least interact outside and not the entire 3 hours in the booth

It purely came down to the constraints the pandemic had on it. They had to keep her safe so could really only record Steph on her own. Interaction with others was tricky. But it definitely could have been its own game like Before the Storm given the right circumstances.

i think she was supposed to end up traveling with steph. she was the only one truly on Alex"s side and was willing to drop her plans for Her unlike Ryan who decides to work at the bar of his disgraced dad. idk why she would stay in a place that did nothing when they saw her covered im blood and tried to gaslight her. Steph believed her no matter what. even if the player didn't pursue her.

It was okay, for a DLC, but I think it would have been tons better had there been actual customers in the store to mingle with. There isn't a single customer in the store the entire game and that seems silly. Also a random phone call by Chloe (if you choose to sacrifice Arcadia Bay) or a creepy call from Jefferson calling from prison (if you chose to sacrifice Chloe) would have been amazing, and give new depth to the series.

​@@Anomalous602 Knowing Life is Strange, their DLC's / Prologues / Spinoffs are actually great. So I wasn't really hesitating to opt for the version with DLC. Before The Storm, Awesome Adventures of.. I suspected this background story was just as cool. I even had the hopes up for a little return to Arcadia Bay (Despite limited, but still ) But it felt cheap to spend several hours of not so much exploring, only hearing out stories in one single small environment. It was a bit of a dissapointment though. Nice story arc, but it could've done with much more.

After playing this DLC I went back and got Alex and Steph together, I felt for steph, the Lonely life and just wishing you had someone to share it with and then sudden fate brings Alex into her life and gives her a reason to stay in Haven

I have mixed feelings. I mean its a great addition to Stephs Background and for people who already know her its a great Fanservice BUT its way too overpriced. The game itself aint cheap plus adding 13€ (in my region) is a little bit cheeky to say it midly anyway my issue with this DLC is we just have Steph as a character, I personally thought they will unfold Gabe more as a character but nope you aint seeing him at all and basically the whole DLC is like a escape room where you just do your tasks and the whole year flies away. Def. wasted potential by maybe let some characters visit you like Ryan, Charlotte or hmmm how bout GABE it feels like the whole town is dead and youre the only one living in it. Positive is to say that the fortune teller gimmick is pretty funny and enjoyable there are some unique and funny dialogues. Overall to see Mikey is nice and the refrences to Arcadia Bay (depanding whether you destroyed it or not) are interesting. 5/10 So basically its a nice to have situation but you dont need it actually so wait till the price drops and buy it together with the main game cause the main game is also way too overpriced.

Are people really satisfied with this DLC?? I feel like it could've just been included for free with the base game. Feels very shallow and almost like nothing had happened from the 2 to 3 hours of playtime. It is cool to hear Chloe's voice and see how Alex chimes into the story, but that's about it. I guess it was meant to appeal to the Steph lovers more than anything. Anyway, thankfully the base game was good so i'm glad I chose to watch someone else play this DLC instead of me trying to enjoy it. Also, no idea why the person who played the game for this video acts so brain dead...it's kinda frustrating to watch.
