Most people say it's not ideal to do it. I don't really see why not, though. I'm not doing it because I don't have enough air support or anything. And it doesn't give me any tension in my jaw, either. I just do it because it makes my riffs and runs really clear. So I say sing whatever way comes most natural to you :)
