I normally skip trailers pretty quick, but the intro dialog for this made me stop dead in my tracks. "You ever going to ask me out will?" "Just waiting for the right moment" "I'll see you around" "I've been waiting for the right moment, cuz when I ask you out there's not going to be any turning back for me, I'm not going to date anybody else for the rest of my life, I'm not going to love anybody else for the rest of my life, I'm waiting for the right moment... cuz when I ask you out, it's going to be the most important moment of my life. And I just want to make sure I get it right"

This is a film that you need to see more than once. It is overwhelming and the plot is so cleverly constructed that you need to see it again to understand it properly. Fascinating how Dan Fogelman shows the impact on people's life for generations due to one little mistake of a little boy in the bus. So cleverly constructed. And the last scene is the most touching, whereby the mother says to her son that the only thing that matters in life is love, giving it and receiving it and that carries for generations to come. And that is life, and that is the only thing that we all need and want, just love.

I saw this trailer before it came out and saw it on the opening weekend and my wife and I walked out of the theater with a different look on life. Life Itself...this movie is summed up in the title. It takes us on a journey where a fantastic cast of actors believably portray their stories experiencing love, passion, friendships, marriage, relationships with parents, children, loved ones ,jealousy, expectations, defeat disappointments, joy, sadness, imperfections, pain, sorrow, tragedy, surprises, contentment, understanding, peace, acceptance. This is a rich complicated yet simple honest story telling captured at its best. My heart was unexpectedly touched and holding back my tears at the end scene with Isabel’s conversation with her son Rodrigo convincing him that it’s time for him to leave and make a great life for the two of them, to expect life’s ups and downs, that sometimes will bring us to our knees but always get back up and go even farther. It’s a selfless Mother’s way of letting your child go into the world and continue life and find love. Well written, well acted, well directed, what a gift to watch!!!❣️

There is a moment in the trailer with a close up of the little girl's face. her eyes are pinched shut and you see little bits of something in the air. It's only a single shot and moves on but those 'bits', I believe, were pieces of glass, which implies it's a car accident happening. Maybe the woman dies, maybe the little girl dies. Maybe none of them die but it looks like a good story whatever might happen.

Antonio Banderas is so much more than the Dad from Spy Kids! There's Zoro, The Mexico Trilogy, Interview with a Vampire, Desperado, ect. Not to mention a long and successful career as a singer. Dang whippersnapper!!

This movie is just so tragic to me. Hard to finish. Life should not be so sad.
