I love that he doesn't sound overly diplomatic when he talks. He's someone that is humble yet confident in who he is, and very open about what he does, and why he does it. Reminds me of Irrfan sir, and I can already see Pankaj ji going very, very far. I'm not fluent in hindi, it's not my first language, but just through his voice I can hear more honesty than many of these actors who are (or, atleast claim to be lol) fluent in English. I came across this interview (watching from California) today and I could not tear myself away from Mr. Tripathi’s answers. Ever since his portrayal of Sultan’s character to his most recent performance as a taxi driver in Mimi, he brings justice to the characters he portrays. The man is totally believable. What a gem to the Hindi film industry. After the late Dilip Kumar Saab, Pankaj Tripathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Manoj Bajpai, Farhan Akhtar to name a few, are bringing realism to Hindi cinema and may they live long and prosper. 👍🙏

I had the opportunity to meet(kind of)him near mandi house in new delhi. There is a ndmc shop just in front of himachal bhawan. It was a cold winter and i saw him standing just a couple of meters away from the shop. To be honest I didn’t know his name but instantly i said to my friend,” vo dekh sultan”. For a split second our eyes met. I smiled towards him and he smiled back. I didn’t approach him though he was alone.
